Hi, I'm very much into online gaming PS3, games like assassin creed, COD, Fifa etc. I'm connect to DSL cyberia the download speed is 40 KB/sec, upload 5KB/sec and the ping is about 164 therefore I experience A LOT of lag, and sometimes it's even difficult to get into games.
I called them and asked why am I still 512kb/sec when it should be 1mb/sec (due to the upgrade). They told me that the ogero service in khalde can't withstand 1mb/sec it will cause many internet problems, and that they're working on fixing it, plus I can't even upgrade.
I'm thinking about buying my own Wireless Broadband (just for gaming).
Due to your own experience or knowledge. What do you think? should I buy Ifly (WiMAX) or Mobi (Wifi)? which is better for gaming? and has lower ping?

Hi Ahmad90,
They are lying to you. I live in Khaldeh too (I am also 4km away from the central). Khaldeh has 1mb/sec speed. I have IDM. Ping should be around 98 for IDM and Ogero(tested both). I upgraded to 1mb/sec from 512kb/sec 8 months ago when I opened a case with them. They told me that Ogero hasn't upgraded yet (same shit). I told them my neighbors are Ogero, they have 1mb/sec and if they don't upgrade it I will cancel the subcription. They upgraded it in 5 days. Hope this help.

I called cyberia, and ogero from central khalde, both of them told me the same old story, my line can not withstand 1mb. They put me in the gaming pool, the latency improved to 98 ms but still 512 isn't enough bandwidth.
I changed my mind on the wireless broadband idea, turns out [from what I've read from the feedback] that they have terrible latency 300+.
So, I'm seriously thinking about canceling the whole dsl subscribtion and going cable by the end of the month, or keep dsl for internet surffing and stuff and play online from my 3g cellphone I tried it once the latency is quite decent.
Thank anyways, cheers.
