Is there any place that sells a variety of legit gaming mouses(mice?)? All I see from shop to shop is chinese "gaming" mice that break in less then a week. There is a couple of gaming mice in Virgin but they are waaaaaay over priced, what gaming mouse do you guys recommend I buy that is worth its price?
Gaming Mouse?
Any specific budget in mind ?
PCandParts have some gaming mice..

I checked PC and parts and they don't have any of the razer mice, they have lots of Gigabyte and logitech gaming mice but they seem sketchy and overpriced. my budget is around $60, maybe more, depending on if the mouse is worth it or not
Everything depends on your needs and budget. What games do you intend to play? What's your hand size (in measure)? Have you ever used a gaming mouse? What's your grip: palm or claw (google image it if you don't know what I'm talking about)?
If I'm going to advise you based on my own experience, then I highly recommend the razer naga hex if you're serious. It has 6 buttons on the side in a cercular shape (hexagone to be really precise) and at the center there's a thumb rest so that your finger doesn't get tired. You can easily access all of these buttons and even macro them easily using a program that comes with the mouse. There are also 2 buttons behind the wheel but they're not that easy to reach, but yoj can use them for stuff like page up and down. There's also this sort of lump on the right side of the mouse for you to put your fourth finger comfortably. But the best thing would be the razer synapse 2 feature that lets you save your mouse settings onto an online cloud. You can keep yourself offline though if it annoys you. There is one typical complaint from users which I've yet to encounter though: the mouse supposedly has a glossy feel that makes your hand sweat (but I've never been annoyed personally, and I've sweat much more with other mice).
All in all I think it's a great mouse that lets you optimize your gameplay a lot. For 90$, I feel I got even more than what I payed seeing as you can do different keybinds with modifiers, giving up to 18 possible combinations with alt, shift and ctrl.
If you're more of a portable gamer, then I think the razer Orochi would be perfect for you, but the downside is that you'll only get 2 useful sidebuttons. What's great about it though is that it's wired and wireless, comes with a small pouch in which you can safely put the mouse and its cord. You can always find a bigger case if you want a larger mouse though (as I've done), but the difference in mobility is noticeable.
If you're serious about one of these mice then I'll go further into detail. Otherwise I could show you some other good stuff.

@Seth: I appreciate your information so much! exactly what i was looking for! I play black ops 2/battlefield and started playing dota 2 recently, I currently use the A4Tech x7 gaming mouse and I game in a palm grip, I'm a portable gamer but I carry around a school bag with me so portability of a mouse isn't really an issue for me. Both mice look great, but do you think there is mice with the same price that bring more the table?
Seth, where did you find the Naga Hex for 90$?
@rtwo2008: Online, got the green edition. Red Wraith version costs even less. They respectively cost 69 and 65$ now. Virgin Megastore Hamra must have it for about 100$, 120$ max I think (maybe it's cheaper now).
To mmk92: If you're playing FPS games, then I'd advise you to get the RAT 9 (here's a link with details: http://www.cyborggaming.com/prod/rat9.htm). What's great for shooting games with this mouse is that it has a side button that puts you into "sniper mode", lowering the speed of your mouse (DPI) for more precision AS LONG AS YOU KEEP YOUR FINGER ON IT. Now, I don't play shooting games, but basically if you're going for a head shot or something, you can temporarily press that button when you zoom into your target to have a precise shot, which is an awesome feature in my opinion.
I was considering getting the RAT 9 at the start, but then changed my mind. However, you must know that it's the ultimate "adaptive" mouse, and can have its weight, shape, speed, modes changed from your desk. It does seem a bit complicated to set up at the beginning though. It does cost some big buck though (I think 120$), so if anything you can get the RAT 7 which is older but cheaper. I haven't really gotten into the details of these mice so I can't really tell you much about them.
Also, it's worth noting that the naga Hex is the best gaming mouse for MOBAs (like Dota and League of Lengends aka LoL).
All in all if you're comparing the two, from what I know:
Razer naga Hex:
Pros:
Has 6 easily accessible MECHANICAL buttons (mechanical buttons are awesome)
Great, easy to use macroing
Allows fingers to relax with thumb rest and 4th finger "lump"
Online Cloud that saves your settings
Beautiful design
Cons:
Glossy feel, might cause sweating for some
Only wired mode
RAT 9:
Pros:
Has "Sniper mode" for an awesome FPS gaming experience
Can be completely remodeled whenever you want to fit your needs
Has 6 side buttons
Can have up to 3 different modes that you can change with one on-mouse button
Comes in wireless mode
Sleek design, comfortable materials
Cons:
Buttons aren't as easy to access as the hex
Mouse customization can be a bit intimidating at first
Only wireless mode option (dunno how you recharge that thing)

I have the Razer Deathadder black edition, I got it from virgin for 88$ I think, perfect precision in Battlefield 3 sniping andd long distance sniping.
My brother has A4tech X7 I got from an unknown store in da7ye for 25000 LL.

Why dont you start posting some links when talking about a specific mouse ?
Because from what I've understood the policy here is don't flood with links, people can go google things themselves. I have added links to things that I don't know completely (such as the RAT 9), but otherwise I think the rest of the info is legit seeing as I personally had to search through 20+ links when looking for every advantage and downside of the mice I wanted to get. Simply linking you Razer's homepage displaying the mouse won't do anything but increase your bias towards the Hex's looks rather than performance, making you want it more because it "looks nice" (and it really does :D ). My goal is to propose the most performing mouse, not the coolest in terms of design.AVOlio wroteWhy dont you start posting some links when talking about a specific mouse ?
Very cool posts Seth.
We don't have any strict policies on the use of links. Feel free to use them however you please.
That being said, on a personal note, I would recommend you start (ab)using the formatting options supported by the forum, especially if you plan on writing these long posts. That's what I do anyway, good formatting can help your readers go through lines and lines of text.

Ah that's nice. I'll do my best to use these, but I'll probably suck at it at the beginning. I remember completely screwing up my video description once while trying to use bbcode, haven't been a fan of them since :Prahmu wroteVery cool posts Seth.

Also, should I do a small guide for mice that would expand over time? There's tons of info regarding PC specs, phones and notebooks, but not much about mice. So I figured it might be helpful for some to have something of the sort stickied, because getting the ideal mouse can be a real hassle if you're determined.
@Seth It would be much easier if we lived in a country with more variety of mice, and the only place the sells decent mice is severely overpriced :P
Very very true :( Virgin's prices are absurd, but at least you're guaranteed a working product. I think that there's another store in ABC, 64-multimedia store I think? I went there once to see mice and the salesman looked reliable. He knew about a good Logitech mouse with great ratings (although I don't like it myself). You should go check the place out, along with Virgin, where you'll find the RAT 7 and RAT 9. Oh, and in case I forgot to mention it, the RAT mice are made by a company named Madcatz. Yeah, their name is pretty ridiculous, but their products are good.mmk92 wrote@Seth It would be much easier if we lived in a country with more variety of mice, and the only place the sells decent mice is severely overpriced :P

I checked the store you mentioned, all they have is cheap generic mice. I've been to this store before and they had huge varaiety of gaming mice, but i had no intention of buying one at the time :P
Damn, that's a shame. Well, did you find anything else with a reasonable price from virgin?
All they had was old DeathAdders, a battlefield 3 branded Imperator, and another one that is for MMOs(comes with like 10 buttons on the side).Seth wroteDamn, that's a shame. Well, did you find anything else with a reasonable price from virgin?
