After 13.4 and now 13.5 beta I don't feel any need to use radeonpro or any frame metering software. Games are running smooth and I'm really enjoying it :D

What are your experiences ? And if your using any software for smoothness please do tell.
That's great. I'm using a single card now (MSI 7970 TF3 coming June 8) and I got so used to running everything VSynced with TB and FPS caps. It really is the smoothest even on a single card (by some degree).
Can you tell me exactly which software and settings are you using ? I want to try it.
also, when you dip below your fps cap, do you feel it ?
The same RadeonPro. Yeah, I can feel dips from 60 to 58-59FPS, with VSync on (stutter or normal FPS dips). With VSync off, it's a smoother ramp I guess, but above 60FPS it magically gets this awesome fluidity and it makes sense, as the monitor is now displaying 1 frame or more per refresh.
Maybe I'm not noticing stuttering because my samsung tv has motion engine that enhances smoothness.

Anyways the prototype drivers are rolling this month afaik.
I advise you to turn off the motion engine, it deteriorates something along the chain. Feed the TV a perfect VSynced signal and you'd be better off, if you were looking for the ultimate smoothness.

Yeah, the prototype drivers should be coming soon. I'd guess a 13.6 beta.

Finally got a second 7970 again. The MSI 7970 TFIII OC.

I'm waiting to get some good tubing to get the water loop going. Right now I'm folding on them and they're running close to 100% fan. Deafening LOL.

Excited for the new AMD drivers as things are not *entirely* smooth below 60FPS like a single card. But it doesn't really matter with the power of these cards.

PS: Zahix fold fold fold!
Hey guys so I got my new gaming rig t wo days ago.
My processor is I7 3770
I have 8 gb of ram
I have the cooler master scout 2
and most importantly I have two sapphire 7950 oc flex.
I activated crossfire, I have great fps on most games when I max them out but when it comes to AA I experience big slow downs.
any tips ?
Well FXAA in tomb raider 2013 runs fine but when I put 2x MSAA it drops to the 30-40 fps.
I know I shouldn't complain but the fps keeps changing and it makes the game unplayable (it's 50fps, then after 5 seconds it drops then it goes back and again and again.)
That's stutter. Is Tomb Raider patched?

Read a few posts back and configure RadeonPro. It helped for my friend.

The game should run constant 60FPS 99% of the time even with 4xMSAA.
When I look at the previous posts, I see that he only enabled vsync. I did that but when I activate MSAA it still slows down and stays at 30-40 fps.
Any other games or benches do that? Run Unigine Heaven and Valley, Extreme preset.
Nevermind, I updated the Catalyst driver from 13.4 to 13.6 beta 2 and I OCed my cards to 1000 core clock, I also turned on vsync in all my games and it's a miracle I have constant 60 fps with AA on.
Thanks anyway yasamoka !
Hmmm, seems it was a driver issue. Glad you got that resolved.

I think Crossfire was not enabled in your case . I had issues with Tomb raider running in Xfire mode before.

You should not face any fps issues even with Ultimate mode.
