  • Opening an IT support company in Lebanon?

How about the name SwITch which can mean a lot.

1. Switching your IT needs from one company to another that is more capable
2. The switch piece of hardware heavily used in networking
3. Allowing companies to Switch from darkness to light in their IT capabilities
4. The IT capitalized within the word in the logo can look nice

If you look at many successful companies, many of them have names that are very easy to remember yet not so much attached to the type of products/services they offer. Example: Apple, HP, Research In Motion etc..

Ayman wrote YAICO - Yet Another IT Company. The pronunciation of the abbreviation(yayko) sounds cool.

Edit: This is not necessarily sarcastic. For example GNU stands for GNU Not Unix
What you are refering too is called Recursive Acronym, but your naming YAICO isn't one.
The first Letter should represent the complete acronym.

we should not forget that the average or amateur user may contact me for support or a project , so hard to understand names should be avoided right?
YAICO - is exactly word "egg" on Ukrainian and maybe Polish :)

Polish not sure, i dont know it well. Russian in technical matters using english words, mostly.
Just for example my idea (sourced from cedar, cedar is tree, but cedar is used too much)

logo or some brands for company can be can be: i3 or i(small 3 on right top corner, power of tree)
IT-ree
i(symbol of tree, cedar)
i(symbol of cedar, in style of capital letter T)ree
and etc.
Tarek, I think you should focus on writing a business plan, and once you have that, the name will reflect the value you're offering to your prospect customers.
i have a business plan , i know my points of strength and weakness , i know how to reach my clients ,it doesn't need an elaborate plan , it will be a "pa & ma" IT company if you know what i mean
I would choose a name which highlights what uniquely differentiates you from other competitors. I wouldn't go for a very specialized name (e.g. The Networking Experts - you've limited yourself to networking) . I would go for something more general (keywords: Technology, Consulting, Expert...)
I see , i guess this is what i'll be doing , a name super clear and easy to remember
how about Consul-Tech ? if you try to say out-loud it is close to consulting .. or this too shabby ?
