Fixing Air Conditioner

Hey guys, during the end of last summer, there was a weekend in which the power came around 400V which cooked up lots of stuff in our building. So now I want to fix the split unit Hitachi AC, I have one that is 1.5Ton or 2 Ton I am not sure, and two 1/2Ton. I would like to fix them myself but I don't really know where to start. Or if anyone knows a good electrician (in Beirut) that would also be good.

1- Check the relays or circuit breakers on the input power; there also might be input fuses on the main electrical outlet.
2- Check the main transformer is intact and providing the necessary rated voltage.
3- Check the voltage regulators if any.

@mesa177, I'm having trouble opening the AC in order to check the fuse and so on. So I think that I'll stick to getting someone repair it.
