Hello,
I've been searching everywhere for a miniDisplay to HDMI converter with no luck whatsoever, only to get the same reply over and over "ma2tou3".
So far, I've asked Katranji, Multimedia megastore, Boujikian, Telia, Radioshack and a couple of local stores. By the way, I'm trying to find a cheap one (<= 20$) as Katranji told me they sell them at 15$ whereas Multimedia said at 50$.

I saw one a couple of months ago at Katranji and more recently at Virgin Megastore. So call Virgin and see if they still have it. Though it was more expensive than Katranji but I cannot remember the exact price.

Thanks moe! I got so mad at the prices here I asked a friend of mine to purchase this wire from dx. I received a 'Payment Successful' email, hopefully they dont request further verification this time. I asked for a shipping tracking number and paid an extra 2$. Should I expect this item to arrive in less than a month?

Quick update:
The package arrived today, the surprising part was that it turned out to be exactly the same item with the same packaging as the one that was being sold in Apple shop ABC Ashrafiyeh! Both are brandless by the way. The shop is selling them for 40$, speechless ...

As a person who is interested in this type of weird pricing scheme and after a while of asking questions etc.. this is the conclusion:
Large department stores and even sometimes small ones are putting extremely high prices on accessories of hot items, because the actual hot item (laptop, ipad, etc...) is so widespread and has so much competition that some of them are selling with 0-5$ profit only. So they inflate the price of the accessories to offset the really low margins in the mother product; but sometimes they do it in a ridiculous way that earns them a bad reputation. (there is a store in Jounieh selling ipad 4 16gb wifi for 499$ TTC, hoping you buy a cover and some accessories with it because that's where he makes his profit).
