Hi all!

So anybody got the new Samsung Smart TV 40" offer!? The one filling all panels on roads: 635$HT ==> 700$TTC

What do you think about it?! Any real life reviews?! Any known issues?! (motion blur/ghosting effect, etc...)
I tried to find some real life reviews but all I got was like a description of the specs!

It is called : Samsung 40ES6200.

Specs wise it looks interesting (for the price it offers):

Waiting your valuable feedback!
In the house we have 2 samsun Tvs, on 40'' which is an LCD and one 42" which is a LED. They both have great displays and no problems at all, been running for a year now. However we dont use them in the house beyond tv channel viewing and displaying pics from an USB or from my galaxy s2 using mhl adapter, which again work perfectly fine. Beyond that I didnt test any of thr smart feauters.
I checked out the Specs, turns out to be a 3D TV, in spite of its a Series 6 Samsung TV.
I have a series 6 32'' LCD TV, its been with me almost like 3 years. it works great !
This one is LED, 40'' and 3D . It is a Smart TV, whicn gonna include all the features like skype, web browser, WIFI built in...

All of that for 700$ ?
if thats true, i say go for it !

are you sure you read the model number correctly on the billboards? regarding the price ?

Yeah I'm definitely sure and I even went to an official dealer of samsung and saw it live and got the chance to try out the 3D!
Yeah it looks nice however I was very concerned about the ghosting effect as I honestly felt it a bit!
Other than that, and on paper specs are very good!
i have the 46" version, i haven't looked into the details of the picture quality, but in general its a good tv
Hmm, by ghosting effect you mean the the picture is a little bit fuzzy and extended, like elongated a little bit .. like a ghost (lol duh) ?
This is an LED TV right ? Not Plasma ..
I dont think that LED's should have that effect, it is more common on Plasma TVs.
Also, 3D mode has to have that ghosting effect, because its 3D==> its 2 frames brought together, but of course that effect will go away when you put on the glasses.

Was that the effect that you were talking about ?
ghosting effect in simple terms is when a frame ghosts or stays on the screen when another frame is being shown, it is common on LCDs and LEDs which response times above 10ms so if this TV has more than that dont buy it, i recommend 5ms max if your a gamer

No bro by ghosting effect I mean motion blur! :-D that's when for example you are watching football or any fast paced action and you see like a trail behind the ball for like a quarter of a second! It's not disasterous but a bit annoying.
The problem is that I got a new LCD 40" tv toshiba for 599$ 6 months ago! And now we have a lot of other issues more important :-( so I guess I'm gonna drop this idea! I dunno I just like these!

Bro it says 400HZ so it's 0.0025sec or 2.5ms but I felt it's like 100HZ! I could even see the blur in the demo video! (So minimal but still visible). I dunno maybe I am too paranoid about it!
maybe this isn't ghosting maybe the demo's resolution is lower than the TV native resolution or the panel is of low quality which may explain the low price for such a TV, bro response time isnt just the refresh rate its also determined by how fast can the pixels switch.anyway i dont think you should be worried take a flash drive with couple of 1080p videos you know their quality and test it again
that's weird, when i switched from 100 to 400,i felt a huge difference,i can't say about blur tho, didn't really try that part,if i were you id get a video im familiar with on a usb and get them to try it
