  • Ipad 4th gen with ''cellular'' from the US?

Hello!
My gf want an ipad 4th gen from the US because her bro lives there, there is a model called ipad retina with wifi and cellular 4G.
So if she get it from there, the Lebanese cellular cards wont work because we are in a 3G zone right?
Unless the ipads with 4G are also compatible with 3G?
1st) Yes the ipad 4th generation aka ipad with retina display, is 3G compatible, Link 1, Link 2

2nd) No you don't need to purchase it from the US to communicate with her brother.

3rd) If she wants to use Facetime to communicate with her brother then it is better to stick to wifi

4th) If device is only used for Facetime, then it is better to get iPad 2, iPad 3, mini iPad, or iTouch
Yes but taken from the review:

The cellular version of the iPad has two different flavors. There's a quad-band GSM/HSPA one with dual-band LTE and a CDMA version with quad-band GSM/HSPA and penta-band LTE. The cellular connectivity on the iPad 4 is used for data only, so native calls are out of the question.

So the dual band LTE wont work for sure, also it has to be unbranded (Verizon and co) right?
There are 2 models of ipad 4 with cellular
