I apologize for the long read but some context is required..
I am with IDM DSL 2 MB - Mazraa CO
A while back, a few IDM users including myself had problems with Punkbuster (BF 3 mostly) where we got kicks for a "No packet flow " error and this was "solved" by IDM after they offered "virtual real IPs" starting 46.19.196.xxx instead of the regular 10.xxx or 193.xxx IPs wich solved the punkbuster routing problems.
I have noticed that the 46.19.196.xxx IPs appear as belonging to a network by the name of Medsystems SAL instead of IDM on all traces, ping and speedtests. and recently ping times to EU servers went from 90-100 ms up to 180-200 ms.
After recharging my expired account and resetting the modem, the connection always temporary reverts to the old IPs for a few mins then re-aquires the 46.19.196.xxx IPs
Pingtests done within the few mins im on the IDM IP show good pings of 90-100ms
Pingtests done after the Medsystems SAL (46.xxx.xxx.xx) show pings of 180-200 ms
My question is, does anyone have an idea about Medsystems SAL? and also I would be greatful for some ping tests results to Germany/Poland posted from those users that were provided an IP of 46.19.xxx.xxx to solve punk buster issues. any light shed would be appreciated.
Thanks
iChris
Hi, i'm an IDM user subscribed to the 1MB/10GB plan. I play online games like League of Legends on EU server.
Since January my ping went from 90-100 ms to 180-200 ms.
Ping is stable during each game but it's very variable between games (some games 180 stable - others 110 stable). And after 11pm my ping goes down to 110 in all games.
On the other hand, I check my external IP and it points out to IDM and nothing to do with Medsystems SAL (maybe there's some other ways to check virtual IPs but i don't know much about it).
So does anyone have an idea about that problem with high latency? Is there a way to fix it?
Feedback would be much appreciated.
