  • Some questions concerning a jtagged XBOX 360

Hello, I recently got a new slim xbox 360 (4GB) from Najjar, which is modified (Jtagged as he claims), I took a 120 GB HDD from an old dead xbox 360 elite from a relative and, installed it in my new console (followed a tutorial on youtube) and it worked great.
I got some games from Nino and they all run well, I read that jtagged consoles can install and run games from HDD without needing the discs anymore, currently I can install any game on the dashboard on the HDD but I still need the disc to play it, searching around I saw that I need some applications to make it work, first I installed XEXmenu on my console then later on found that it was kind of outdated ... they use FSD 3 now, so I would like to check the following with experienced xbox 360 owner in this forum:

1- how to make sure my Xbox is jtagged, or has RGH or even maybe LT 3.0 ? I read that if you press the eject button and it turns on the console then its a jtag, I tried it it worked ... so do I have a jtag ?
Edit: Being able to install NXE2GOD, patching my installed games and playing without discs means I have a Jtag (I guess)

2- How to install games from disc and play without disc ? do I need XEXmenu ? Freestyle dashboard 3 ? something else ?
Edit: NXE2GOD did the trick

3- I have a high speed dedicated connection at work which is unused after business hours, I can download any ISO game I want ... my question is can I extract the ISO somehow and transfer it to my console HDD and play it without burning it to a Dual layer dvd ? if so what do I need to do this ?

PS: linking me to tutorials is also highly appreciated.
thanks.

Yes, this is the whole point of JTAG/RGH. I have an RGHed Console and I just download the game iso from the internet, extract it using ISOEXTRACT, then i copy it to my xbox 360 and PLAY!!! its no use having JTAG if you play from dual layers ;)

Anyone know a place that RGH's a 360 on the cheap?
==Out of the Topic==

I have wireless Xbox 360 controllers and i want to use them on the PC.
Does anyone know where can i find one of those receivers in lebanon? And for how much?
Any game shop should have them. If they don't you can pick it up from amazon.

I used to have a jtag a couple months ago before I ditched it for the PS4.
The most important thing is to get FSD 3 installed on ur JTAG/RGH then everything else will be so easy.
for me the fastest way was to download the ISO files and convert them using "xbox backup creator" then transfer the games from my laptop to my jtag HDD with FSD manager using a USB or sometimes using Filezilla (If the size of the file was small given that transferring data through ur local network takes more time). I know it might sound complicated but it's so easy!! Check this website: www.xbox360iso.com, you will find ANYTHING u need in it from downloading games (u will also find games already converted for jtag consoles that only need to be downloaded and transferred to ur jtag HDD) to many tutorials that will help u get the most out of ur jtag... you will be able to update ur console to the latest firmware by yourself AND you will be able to play some games like COD and F1 online YES online via "system link".
here's a tutorial for xbox backup creator: http://thegamescene.boards.net/thread/128/extract-games-using-backup-creator
