captain-pc Hi everyone, I am planning to make a computer but I don't know which psu to choose, I need your recommendations. For info, I chose : - cpu : core i5-3570 - gpu : GeForce GTX 660Ti OC - mobo : Asus P8B75-V - ram : 2*4 gb Thanks
Khaled Always go for good brands, XFX, Corsair, Antec or Enermax ( there are more i am just naming a few ) You would need a 600 or 650W PSU to be safe. And the rest depends on the budget you have for the PSU. Its clear thats a budget build from the components so I would suggest the TX 650W or something similar But its important ( unfortunately ) to note where you are, are you in Lebanon ? or abroad, because that would change the availability and thus what we can suggest.
AvoK95 GreenMax 550W for $89+VAT @PCandParts Also, do note that you can edit your post. So you can just edit it to fix that spelling mistake instead of making a brand new post..
MohammedSF If you don't mind used PSU's check Elmazad.com, there are 2 PSU's listed.. Gigabyte Odin Pro 800w & Thermaltake Toughpower 600w edit: I recommend the 800w if you're planning to SLI &/or High OC'ing
captain-pc @AvoK95 okay thank you for the info but 550W isn't too weak ? @MohammedSF I'd prefer new ones but thank you anyway
AvoK95 550W is more than enough . I'm building a similar system with a 500W PSU from Cooler Master, ready to run a 7950 (Gonna run 7850 though). ATI uses more power than Nvidia cards now, so a 660 would consume far less. Actually for a 660Ti, a 500W PSU is recommended, your 660(Non Ti) would run no problem. If you're planning overclock a 600W wouldn't hurt either..
MohammedSF Reference GTX 660 TDP = 140w Reference GTX 660Ti TDP = 150w GTX 660Ti OC TDP = 170~190w @AvoK95, he has the 660Ti OC verion..
AvoK95 Misread, sorry.... Even for a 660Ti. NCIX uses a 550W Seasonic PSU on their budget 660Ti builds.
thegodfatherdany I am interested in a used branded power supply for my rig ranging from 400 to 500W. Thanks.
