  • Ipod 3rd generation, can I make whatsapp work on it?

Well I have this 3rd gen Ipod if I'm not mistaken, it has been left away quite some time now, and now I need it for whatsapp mainly, so I took it to a local shop and he told me it is too old now so the newest jailbreak just won't work.
Mine is jailbreaked but more then a year ago so Cydia and isntallous dont seem to work anymore.
I never jailbreaked myslef or anything IOS related so I literally know nothing about the process or any alternative process to make whatsapp work on it, is there any?
I had an ipod 3rd gen and used to have whastapp on it normally, no need for cydia or anything.

However when I got an Ipod 4g, I was forced to jailbreak it and download and activate whatspad from Cydia.

Cannot give you for sure if these still work today, but just saying that it used to work in the past.
I had whatsapp on it back in the days, not working anymore for some reason, maybe an old version or something...
Go to cydia ( first jailbreak it if you haven't) then install whatspad. After that install from cydia vshare (alternative to installous, cause its been shut down). Download whatapp from their, then launch it. It will ask you to enter your phone number, when you do it, it will send you a message with a code, activate it with that code, and your done.

it is jailbreaked, but the software is 4.3.3 , will this still work? or do i need a new jailbreak?
You said that cydia and instalous dont work anymore, did that start to happen after a certain firmware update or alone ?

It could be that you need to renew your jailbreak, however if you did no software update i doubt that would be the case.

I didnr do any software update, and as I understand installous is actually shut down worlwide isnt it?
If I want to renew my jailbreak, what exactly should I do? any recommended methods and tutorial?
