  • Nexus 7: capacitive or resistive screen?

Greetings to all humans here ,

I am looking for an android 7 inch tablet with bluetooth and resistive touch screen .
nexus 7 is a match but i can't verify the touch screen type , so i am wondering if there are any
Nexus 7 users here whom can check it with they'r devices.

Thanks.
it's capacitive, why would you want a resistive touch screen ? capacitive are way better in term of response.

Nexus 7 is not "an android 7 inch tablet", it is THE android 7 inch tablet. It is a high quality tablet like the samsung galaxy tab or even better.

Don't let its low price fool you, the reason for its low price is that it has been heavily advertised as a low budget but high quality tablet @200 $, so the dealers can't put it for 400 $ and get away with it. However, some of the other creepy 7 inch tablets are for ~170 $ in Lebanon however they are actually worth about 80 $ but the dealers are making huge profits because people don't know all this.

Resistive screens are an old technology and you probably wouldn't find such a tablet anymore. Capacitive is the one you need to look for. Nexus 7 is of course capacitive.
@ Rtwo2008, where can I check one out for a reasonable price?
@m.sabra the reason for resistive touch is noise generated by industrial machines affecting capacitance induced by your body on the screen, did you try to use any capacitive touch screen near someone welding using electrical spark, the touch screen will go crazy , but a resistive touch screen won't, in my project when we start the machine all (samsung, sonyEricson, htc) capacitive touch screens are useless :-(.
And are telling me that it's capacitive by experimentation or common sense, no offense just double checking.
And using resistive you can click with any thing in your hand :-p.
As far as I know the only place who has it is private-cell in dekwaneh for 260 $. It is a nexus 7 16gb wifi. Yesterday it was 260 $ today it is 275 $.

The prices play like a yoyo, some company started this bs stock market phone price rigging and since then it caught on with everyone. I'm still waiting for the day some restaurants or khoury home implement this system to stop buying anything from here lol. I might even order my food from abroad hehe.

You can check at Maliks if they have the resistive model of the Coby. But I think you will probably end up ordering it from USA.

Yes you re right.

After 30 mins of search this is the only tablet I could find that has bluetooth and a resistive screen.

Brand name HC but specs are not so great.

I don't know how you will be able to just get 1 of those, but at least it is a lead.

Don't worry the lebanese market is full of them , but with exagerated prices more than the nexus 7 :-O (>300$).
