Hello!
I was wondering when Amhaz and co are bringing the best screen ever made on phone (1080p) HTC Butterfly?
Any news or infos?
The HTC Butterfly didn't get released yet. It has just been announced. According to GSM Arena

I think it's due this month or the next. Though I could be wrong.

I think you are completely wrong!
It has been released and in the market! (HTC butterfly also know as Droid DNA)
Look here at xda where it has now custom roms, root , etc...

I wish i can get one of these! It's a wonderful phone!
The Droid DNA is a different device. It's for carriers only. The HTC Butterfly is the factory unlocked version of the Droid DNA.

Some engineering samples are given out to some people for reviews before release.
4 days later
Htc butterfly is only for the japanese market. Droid dna is the international version
Nop!
DNA is for USA only (4G) while Butterfly is for Asia (already out in India and Korea)
So let's see if Amhaz will bring it, I heard HTC Solutions will have it next week
hey guys don't you think you're better off waiting 2-3 months and getting a device with the snapdragon 800 or the tegra 4 or even the Exynos 5 ??

Droid DNA is for verizon, while the butterfly is international.

You could buy it from expansys in China and get it shipped to you here if you're like me and can't wait to get a phone!
5 days later
950$??
He's totally abusing because Amhaz didn't bring it yet,but just wait a couple of days and it will be at Amhaz for 600$ ;)
Meanwhile it's nice to check the BEST screen in the smartphone world ever (while waiting for the even better HTC M7) SLCD3 + 1080p
HTC Make beautiful phones, I won't deny it.

Their only problem and always has been the same problem... the battery life.

What good would a FULL HD 5" screen do with 2020 mAh battery. This was one of the reasons I got rid of the One X. :(

So much for getting a gorgeous girlfriend that won't hold your hand.
My OneX can last about 2 days battery which is the average for a power house smartphone nowadays, M7 4.7" 1080p will have more than 2020 battery for sure,I will wait for that one
That's odd! It never lasted me more than half a day, with a lot of use of course.
Then you didnt use custom roms or waited for jb update :)

Hehe, when you get your hands on a Nexus 4, you will be as pessimistic towards everything :P.

Dude - insta android updates, smoother than the iphone 4 5 and 6. :P

Really have a look into it. :) I hope my reply on the other page helped out. Tried to be as explanatory as possible.

I did go for the JB update, maybe I am saying this because I had the Note 2 with a massive battery..

Anyhow, I am an intense user of the phone which could be another reason why it didn't last much with me.

But thanks for the reply :)

Yeah you may be right! Anyways opinions are always subjective!

I wonder just on a side note: how is the nexus 4?! I read on XDA that it his like a static constant noise in the background during a call! One had 4 replacements and still had it to discover that it comes with all nexus 4 so he sold it and kept his S2!

Besides, how's your note 2?! Are you interested now to sell since you have your nexus 4?!

Yes I do really want that phone but to be honest I adore the default android feeling but I hate the lack of features!

I mean I tried to compare it with the S3!
Hardware wise it has IMHO a very negative issue: On screen buttons! It makes you loose very much of your screen area and I will end up with a 4.3 or 4.4" screen instead of 4.7 while you get 4.8" on S3!
Let's not forget the battery life! S3 is wayyyy better! And Micro-SD and better camera!
Software wise, it's sleek and beautiful and most importantly COHERENT not like cartoonish silly colors of Touchwiz!
However on the other hand, it lacks ton of features like: multiwindow, Smart stay, excellent codec support, camera features, and much more...

See here:http://www.gsmarena.com/google_nexus_4_vs_samsung_galaxy_s_iii-review-864.php
It ended up by S3! And they are very professional describing each phone!

So i'm quite confused about this man... :-(
You guys are right about the HTC battery life. Fortunately, HTC picked up on the problem and started implementing better batteries. This is what happened to the HTC One X when they re-introduced it as HTC One X+ later. It fixed the battery issue, but many of the regular One X buyers were left disappointed. My one X+ currently lasts approx. 2.5 days with regular use, which is a far cry from my "Sensation" that hardly lasted a single day.
