Hello,

I'm a music addict and when i went to virgin i saw some pretty (awsome) Beats By Dre Studio, they are pretty cool , ( Design, Sound Quality ....) and the most pretty is that they work with any phone (because of the batteries that will amplifie the audi)so i've asked a dj and he told me that i can get the same features better sound with a better (less) price than the beats by dre

As i heard that i'd like anyone to share with me his opinion ,

Thanks Advanced
For the price of Beats, the sound quality is totally not worth it. Even Skull Candy has cheaper headsets with almost the same sound.
If you're willing to pay the price which Beats cost, you can grab a pair of BOSE headsets for A LOT better audio quality. Beats is just way overpriced. You can get the same quality of sound from other brands for less than half the price.

There are Beats copies in the market today, who are being sold from 60 to $180 and sound almost identical to the original Beats, you should take a look at those.
I'm not an expert in headphones so my following recommendation is not based on actual experience:
yes beats by Dr.Dre is overatted, that's pretty much agreed by everyone.
what you should really look into is products that gives better audio quality for the same money and even less; usual recommended brands are:
-Sennheiser: available in lebanon, not sure in version but I did see them at Abed Tahan, and maybe other home appliances stores have them, they are of great quality and really reasnoble prices, the ones I saw were all priced 100$ and that's for both earphones and heaphones, but surely their are more expensive models.
-AkG: another highly recommended brand, not sure of their availability and pricing in Lebanon.
-Bose: Not only do they give exellent audio quality, but their products also have a more premium feel, but that's comes with a higher price tag, you can think of it as a little niche product.
-Philips: I' m sure you already the brand, amd they're pretty Good at headphones so check them out too.

If this list don't have enough information for you, tell us more about what exactly you want to use them for and your budger, hopefully my fellow Geeks can recommend you a specific model available in the lebanese market.

By the way the dj told me to get a panasonic 1 that have better sound quality better isolation (using frequency technology) batteries that will amplify the sound and just for just 50$ is that right ?

I knew I was missing a brand from list, Panasonic, and yea he's right, but you should know that even Panasonic have different models and priced differently, so your choice so first and foremost be based on your style of musice, then on your budget, and basically the higher you pay the better quality as long as you're investing in a professional brand not on fashion accessories (Beats).
Metalloy that's acctually whati need a professional headphone i am a trance (techno, house) and some pop wich one should i get withe batteries good bass .. I don't care about money just suggess me any and the price and i'll juge :)
I'm sorry I cant really recommend down to a specific model, someone else in here might be able now that they have the info needed , or you can go and try them yourself now that you have a list of brands ;)
Good luck with your purchase.
And you should know something equally important to buying new headphones to upgrade the music experience is the audio format of the files you're listening to:
a great heaphone on low quality mp3 files will not really make that much of a difference, since mp3s are by nature a compressed format, you will have to listen to files wich are uncompressed mainly known as "lossless" , such as .wav which is what you get when you buy an audio album, you know the ones with around 20 tracks.
Another famous lossless format is Flac.
Ofcourse lossless formats take much more space from your memory storage so if you're depending on the phone memory they're not really practical, you will only be able to listen to handfull of them, so you may need to stick to mp3 in this case but at least get the 320 bit rate mp3s, they're the highest quality mp3 files available and are decent for what they are.
Metalloy thanks mate , another proble, where should i get them from?
I edited my last post, it was full of mistakes, sorry for that XD
Now, the Wave files (.wav) you get them from audi Cds/albums, your Dj friens should have a lot of them really, Djs usually depend on lossless audio amd not mp3s.
Both Wave and Flac files are available on the net but not on free sites, not that I know of at least, but also available on sharing sites and as torrents, but I cannot give you any link, against the rules of the forum.
unbreakable wrotehttp://www.usa.philips.com/c/headphones/11280/dec/en?showStaticDecision=true found these headphones on this page
this is a USA based page, you canmot depend on having the exact same.models in here, and surely not for same prices, when it comes to lebanea markets, you're better off visiting the stores, I don't know where do you live exactly but you should try these a Khoury home , Cherfan tawil, Abed tahan, radioshack, Virgin megastore... most of them will have at least one of the brands mentioned in my first post.
unbreakable wrotethanks mate i'll visit them all :)
make sure to write down the model numbers to read reviewz about them online.
you're welcome :)
I spent some time researching this topic over at /r/audiophile, /r/headphones and head-fi (make sure to check out this definitive guide).

Through my research, audiophiles have made it clear to me that the heuristic to use when buying your primary headphones is to use the price/performance ratio. Brands like Monster Beats and Bose are way too overpriced for what they deliver, and hence should be avoided.

Another tip to keep in mind: the best way to know which headphone is a good fit for your needs is to try them on. Sadly, our return policies here in Lebanon aren't always lax enough for that.

A quick heads-up: high impedance headphones will require a good external amplifier to drive them, you'll also need to invest in a DAC if you want to monitor your computer audio.

I went with a Sony MDR-V6, mainly because it was on sale on Amazon ($50!). Its design has been proven to work for the past 20 years. It seems that I'll have to change the ear-pads every couple of years, which isn't a big deal. At 63 ohms, they don't really need an external amplifier to drive them, which means i'll save on a couple of hundred dollars.

One last thing: two good ways to narrow your choices down. If you need to buy the headphones from Lebanon, you won't have that many quality choices so the process will be straightforward. Second, decide which type of headphone you are looking for depending on your needs (for example, if you are in a busy environment, nothing beats in-ear monitors to isolate everything out).

Good luck!
samer hi admin

Actually i'm not in a busy environment but i'd like to get an isolated one because when i in on bus i like to put on some music so i need an isolated one i'll see the panasonic one and i'll try to try them
