I am developing an iPhone app on my hackintosh, but at some point to get it to the app store i will have to have a legitimate Mac system.
I am thinking of getting the Mac Mini basic configuration 2012 (4GB of Ram core i5). I am wondering if that is good enough configuration to run xCode and all requirements.
Anyone here has any experience developing for iOS, please share.
Hello shekib
in our company we are developing on a mac mini 2011 4GB of ram, and we experienced issues, so we had to upgrade the ram, 8gb should be more than enough,
Good luck

So are you sure that 4GB were not enough? what sorts of problems did you face?
cause in lebanon if you want to add another 4GB they will charge you another 240 bucks.
When running the application inside xcode (Building), it was extremely slow, and concerning the memory, you can get 8GB of ram for 50$
If it's slow during the build process, consider a better CPU, not memory.
Ok well, i have posted this question on the Mac forum and what I got was that this machine was great for all sorts of iOS development. Furthermore the 2011 model was using core 2 duo if I am not mistaken.

Anyway, I don't know right now. I might hold off a couple of month to get one. In the meantime I am finishing my app on the hackintosh.
