  • Samsung Galaxy S3 vs LG Optimus 4X HD

Hi Folks,

What do you consider a better choice a Samsung Galaxy S3 or LG Optimus 4X HD .. The Samsung S3 has a great hype due to Samsung gorilla marketing strategy and it is very capable device, while the Lg doesn't have issues in competition at all (HD Screen , Quad Core , and Tegra 3 GPU) may log some market notice to LG marketing strategy. Any addition opinions which I consider an added value in making my mind to make a choice and purchase either S3 or LG 4x.

i used an s3 for 30 min the other day. i havent used an optimus but i would definitely consider an optimus much more. samsung seems over hyped. also nothing too special about the phone after i used it.
My brother is using the LG Optimus 4X HD and is blown away by it. Considering that the 2 phones are high end, I think you'll find the primary differentiator to be how the device feels in your hand and works for you. An important feature is the S III has a 1.3 GHz quad core CPU while the LG has a 1.5 GHz also quad core. If you use apps that need a lot of CPU power then any extra bit will make a difference. For me the magic word is "battery life" and the LG battery will drain in 4 hours of heavy app usage and web browsing over WiFi. You can blame the faster CPU for that. You have to consider battery life because if you're far from an electricity source then a dead phone is like not having a phone at all. Also the LG has a higher screen brightness than other phones on the market, excluding the Nokia Lumia series which are the brightest you can find with the best contrast.

So you have to decide based on what features you care about more.
