vegetaleb wroteOk I installed a car holder (360 rotation) so I can try the ''Car'' app that came with the HTC One X...
I bought the HTC Bluetooth to AUX adapter aka Stereoclip for only 60$ at Microage
Opened WAP connection, then GPS satellite and finally the GPS app inside the Car app:
-Every Lebanese street is accurate as names and lenghts
-You can enable audio GPS aid
-You can spell a name and it will search it
-Routing is very nice for people who are discovering new areas
-It ONLY used 500k data for 30mins of GPS routing
-WAP connection is fast (use proxydroid)
Of course you can play music in background :)
Well this phone can definitely replace a car GPS assistant.
Oh and it's free as stock app
Its WAP HSPDA, no way getting iit to work on Edge in Lebanon... (0.3 - 2 KB/s :P )
I'm using OSMand+, very accurate naming, same features above except search by spell (cause naming is arabic). And hey, its offline.
500k is vector-based data, unlike Google Maps (images)
