Hmmm, usually those bitrates for the audio in DD are for the director commentaries. Regular DD bitrate is 640 Kbps and for DTS 1.5 Mbps, that is if they exist. Also i notice the difference when switch audio compression even on my HDTV.AVOlio wroteAll my surround sound movies are DD 5.1, with a bitrate of 384-448 kbps...
And they sound excellent on my surround system.. also, they are movies of 2-3GB sizes.
Theres this encoder on tpb who does the best jobs in 1920x800 resolution movies with DD5.1 @ 384-448Kbps audio bitrate..
