Feedback for WISE
Guys who have Wise DSL, i'm gonna switch from Terranet to Wise, so please give me feedbacks.
i can give you a detailed feedback but it may not sound objective enough 'cause i work for the company.
I used to have Wise as my ISP before all the internet upgrades happened.
I did not like it at all, in terms of speed. So i changed to a local cable provider.
Yet i never actually checked their ping (i didnt play online games back then)
So how is the ping at Wise Dsl ?

average 90ms to google.
90ms Ping ?! thats impossible !
How come nobody mentioned that Wise has low pings ?!
Else everybody would have gone to them..
Can you post a speedtest ?!

@longbit: i'm wondering if WISE is good in all COs, because i don't know if my problem caused by ISP or CO.
so, if i decided to switch, how long does it take ??

Currently we are not accepting applications that will be connected to certain CO's, to be more specific, certain DSLAM inside the CO's because some DSP are facing overload problems so we decided not to make it bad for our new clients.
so you can apply and if your line will be connected to our DSP they will continue with application else you will be informed...
as for the waiting time, it takes 6 to 8 weeks from the day you apply.

send me a PM about where do you live, and i will try to ssh into a modem in that area and get you a ping result during normal and peek time, if you want.
Can you do that for me ?!
Also, i have a question.. You said it takes 6 to 8 weeks from the day i apply...
In that period of time, can i still remain with my current ISP (Sodetel) and when everything is finshed, i stop charging my sodetel account.. and start with Wise..
Does that work ?! Not only for wise.. but for other ISPs also.. Will it work ?!

I have Wise DSL, 1MB/12 GB quota. Speed is good, 100kb/s stable, ping is stable on 90-100 on EU servers
But I have a really, really annoying problem with the modem. (the white one) whenever the electricity cuts, or even when it comes back (fast change of power) the internet stops working, even though it is connected to a UPS. (and no, the UPS is not faulty, I tried two of them, and everything else stays powered up) and it needs more than 3+ restarts to start working again!

@AVOlio i will ask about that issue tomorrow and give you an exact answer.
@ DarkNe0441 yes those old modems start to cause some problems after a while... we started using TP-Link... and no problem with TP-Link so far.

@AVOlio i asked the sales department about your question... you have to cancel your subscription with SODETEL first in order to able to apply. and i guess it the same thing for other ISP's.
however if you decided to apply, before you do anything send me your phone number and i'll have the sales department check if it is feasible, by feasible i mean if it will be connected to a DSP with no overloading problem.

Thank you @longbit for doing that.
But before i even think of applying, i need to make and be sure 10000% that my ping will be Low and stable !
I live in Dekwaneh, can you check ?!

note sure why all the request show 110 ms reply...SpeedTest to the server right next to us .. Aya ISP .. ?! if possible
to AYA

Dear Avolio, Syria is next to us geographically, but it's not in term of connectivity.AVOlio wroteSpeedTest to the server right next to us .. Aya ISP .. ?! if possible
we don't have a direct connection to syria. When sending a packet to syrian host, it travels to europe then reach syria, so the route to europe is shorter than to syria.
Got it ??

guys to avoid inconvenience later on, you can provide me with servers domain/ip that you are interested in and i can post pings to those servers, as you all noticed am pinging google only.
