  • Law for tinting car windows

Can anyone tell me what do i need to do if i want to "fayem" my car windows ? And what is the law concerning this?
you need a license to taint your car,the ministry of interior give those licenses but i think there is no clear way to apply for one,most of the license are obtained by "important" people (ministers,deputies,presidents...) and those with "wasta".i heard few months ago that the Council of Ministers (مجلس الوزراء) was working on a law to legally sell those licenses (the proposed price was 500$ i remember).
Just a question a bit away from the topic but I always wonder about this. Why would someone taint his car windows, what is he/she afraid of? What would it mean for an ordinary citizen who is not a political or governmental figure looking for added security? So the question is why, does it make someone feel more important than other similar citizens by doing that? Thanks.

And @ Ayman, i am not doing this for security at all..It's just for looks. My car is black so i want to give it a all black look.
Securitywise, especially from the point of view of officials, it is more secure for them if everyone tainted their cars. Otherwise, a tainted car would almost always mean the fish in the bowl is important.
I would rather have a huge sign on my car saying, "nothing important here, move on" rather than a bullseye. Especially with everything going on in this retched place.
