If the exposure to large amounts of helium continues, however, this lack of oxygen leads to brain cell death and suffocation. There have been several documented accounts of people who have died because of over-exposure to helium.

helium balloons present a threat to civilian aviation so I think you should look more for regulation and allowable sizes before you invest more in your project

Hmm, I was a bit late to respond concerning the helium gas, but yeah Air Liquide supplies helium gas.

My friends once bought a similar balloon for their wireless surveillance system (a surveillance blimp, if you will):

Is this what you're looking for? If yes, then I'll ask them where they got it and how much it cost them (mind you, this was 5 years ago).

but im curious about the elastic balloon thing that your friend used to lift off his cam, dosent the elastic balloon minimize the lifting effect!
im searching for a 5 meter diameter pro balloon to lift off some serious communication equipments.

what altitude are you exactly talking about?
according to my calculations a 5 meter diameter balloon would lift approx 60 kg
you have to take into account that you will fill it according to the altitude wanted
i.e you should not fill it to the max volume you should fill it less
besides using such balloons for advertising in Lebanon is such a great idea-I know that you are not using for that purpose but since you are breaking the law try to benefit "financially"- but I think in "Lebanestan" someone will shoot it just because he can!!!

Abbabbj, im now just studying the ability to tie up that huge balloon to earth to keep it at least at an acceptable altitude for a lebanonwide modern communication relay (just for learning purposes)

Not if you couple it with 2 propellers which also provide differential steering.

I'm not sure you'll find a 5m diameter ballooon, bu they said that they bought the balloon from Fiesta Balloons (Koraytem branch), and they filled it with gas about a week before using it to expand it a bit before adding on the equipment.

if the 5 m balloon not found here ill experiment on multiple balloons, and its advanced to use propellers it consumes alot of energy upthere!

since i live in Tripoli and i cant do it in there because of the very populated area( if my payloads drops for any reason it will be a disaster) im planning install my mini satellite in Akkar north lebanon i checked the place, very vast unpopulated are i can use

any suggestions?
