Hello... I ve been learning classical guitar for 4 years i am now at (6 eme cours) in the conservatory. I have no ideas about electric guitar although i bought one and a 15w amp. But now i regret it havent played on it other than a metallica Song. I dont know how to make it overdrive like metal bands in solo (chords works a bit fine) even though the amp have a over drive button.
P.s: when i turn up the volume on the guitar it give a sound like a plane maybe because the guitar is not good (chinese)
P.s.2: none of my friends knows guitar
Are you asking a question? Because the title has a question mark at the end.

Yeah the question is how to make a guitar overdrive?
You buy a pedal that you plug between your guitar and the amp.

There's a wide choice of pedals, just like there's a wide choice of guitars.

Some amps have a "(over)drive" button. Don't use that, the sound almost always sucks super bad.

That's hum and background noise. All amps do that at high volume. How bad it is depends on the qualities of the guitar's circuitry, the amp, and the electricity in your house. There are (costly) ways to attenuate it, but it's unavoidable.

Either get an overdrive/distortion pedal or a better amp. I'd go with something like a Tube Screamer. It's the bread and butter of sweet overdrive and it's very much irreplaceable.
Thanks guys for the replies i guess i will have to sell my items. I am not very into electric maybe i will buy something Good later
sounds like you have a very low quality amp and guitar, even overdrive pedal wouldnt do much really.
For a decent sound, you should always get quality guitar and quality amp ( there's some budget quality amps and guitars, but by budget i mean few hundreds of dollars for each), only when these are available is when you should seek for pedals if you want to shape your tone.
If i were you i would advise you to stay on the classic guitar for now and sell your electric stuff, and start saving money for when the time is right you buy some decent equipment if you are still interested.
