My wired 4-port Ethernet modem is dropping connections, suddenly. It is the stock IDM provided Speedtouch 546v6.

After some searching and due to my current WiFi router being a Linksys Cisco WRT120N, the Cisco products seem reliable but expensive. So i have thought about buying the X2000.

What do you think about my choice?
Do you already own the product?

Note: I have a lot of time to choose.
Get the X3000 without looking at anything else. It's just amazing. It even has it's own FTP server.
First make sure that the issue is from the modem itself because IDM are making a major network maintenance today and they said that there will be interruptions.

Some people prefer routers that come with 3x external antennas, they are a little better in terms of signal range. The X2000 / X3000 has two internal antennas but their range is still pretty good, however a little inferior.

My friend has the X2000, i have the X3000, they're a good choice especially if you want a modem / router combo. So far they're working great.
@H.S: The major maintenance starts at 1 am till 7 am. Plus this issue was there since last year.
I admit that it is actually my fault because i used to install/uninstall random firmware updates.
According to the site, the X2000 has 2 Transmit and 2 Receive antennas.

@AvoK95: That is why i want the X2000 because i dont need the FTP. How much should i expect the retail price in Lebanon (dont take pcandparts into consideration)? Because i know that you are in the business lately...or the other Avo!?
No it's me, the other Avo sells muffins.

Well, I don't know exactly, we had some which we sold for 150$ but we got them extremely cheap, I think there's still 1 piece left. But I would advise you to get it from PCandParts because of the warranty.

BTW I quit my job, so I'm an average Joe now, however I am working personally, with repairs and some parts I get from PCandParts.
