AvoK95 wroteA CPU never dies if it wasn't overclocked.
If there is no beep, that means the board isn't running.
What if your PSU doesn't have the enough Wattage to power all your system ? Can you try a different PSU ?
What graphics card are you using ? Try using a lower end one see if it runs.
AvoK95, i did replace some dead processors before because of lightning strike, electrostatic discharge, bad quality motherboards with bad VRMs & power phases, blown PSU with 220v & PSU switched @ 110v !
It's not only overclocking kills CPUs..
another case for a motherboard that won't post is a bad CPU cooler & non standard coolers witch can deform the motherboard below the socket ! i saw a board that was able to boot with a loosened cooler but won't post when the cooler was tightened !
mhamadhdb,
if you're 100% sure your CPU is ok, go check witch part of the motherboard doesn't work..
1. touch your CPU directly with the board switched on *not more than 5 sec - to make sure it has power and board's CPU phases work properly (VRM's & MOS)
2. if CPU has power place the cooler and do the test for the Northbridge chip, it should be warm in 5~10 sec, if it burns or doesn't heatup at all then it's dead
3. do this test to the Southbridge chip, the same thing you did to the Northbridge chip
4. if all above works properly then look for the I/O chip and see if it heats up rapidly, locate it between the BIOS chip & LAN ports
if everything looks fine, the BIOS might be corrupted..
Your motherboard doesn't support Quad Cores, only singles and duals !
and note that a 1333 FSB CPU will work but in Overclocking mode in your board witch will also rise PCIE's clock to 115MHz witch hurts your VGA card !
What is your CPU exactly ?
