I've had an xbox 360 for a couple years but my hard drive recently ran out of space. I've been trying to find a new one for a few weeks and checked virgin and some other places but all of them wouldn't sell it without a console.
Do any of you guys know a good place to get one?
Btw, my console isn't hacked so it needs to be a 360 Microsoft hard drive

Thats good, but I don't wanna hack it cause all I do is play on live and download games online :s
All my games are also original so there's no point in me hacking it

This hacks your HDD itself and not the Xbox 360...can anyone confirm whether Microsoft requests that the Xbox 360 does HDD-related checks to determine whether an HDD was hacked or not?
Is the HDD hacked so well it is indistinguishable from Microsoft's own HDDs?
The-MMMs, where are you?

Are we talking about the older module or the slim one? If the older one, I have one lying around, not sure how mangy GB thoughts. Want it?
Chadsakr
Yeah it's the old one, I'll buy it from you if you don't mind :)
And I dunno about whether Microsoft checks for hacked HDD but I prefer an actual hard drive rather than making my own.
Nabs
OK, sure. PM for arranging a drop zone somewhere.
P.S: I really have no idea how much its capacity is.

There is NO evidence that suggests that using a custom made HDD will ban you.
That being said, like ANY other hack, do at your own risk.
Even though man, you will NEVER find the old HDD new - your going to have to just buy a used one, and trust me when i say this if you do find one so called "new" it will be chinese custom made so yeah. Remember guys, most of the system software and dashboard data is actually flashed to the INTERNAL memory flash. You can remove the HDD and the 360 will still boot. Microsoft's checks for that, rather than your HDD. As long as the HDD does not have any malicious homebrew applications, its COMPLETELY fine.
They sell like furious on ebay and i have some US friends that use them. No problem whatsoever. Only one of them had an issue, it died after 1 week but other than that in terms of banning none I've seen so far.
As per topic, you can check out Nino's - he always gets some from somewhere, max 60GB i think he has. Also i have a friend who has a 20GB but dunno if he's up to selling it - he still needs some stuf on it despite his 360 has been long gone since 2009.
Sorry i missed this topic, it wasn't placed under Videogames :P

Thx, if I've got no choice in the end then i'll consider making one, and sorry if this was supposed to be under " video games " but I just joined here so I thought a HDD would be in " hardware "
