sup everybody,i downloaded the game fallout 3 and installed it,i use windows 7 ultimate,my pc isnt that powerful so i cant play on my native resolution 1440*900(i can but it lags) so when i enter the game and try to decrease the resolution,i get the same resolution,only that the borders of the picture decreases,now i need to know how to play full screen on a non native resolution,i even tried changing the out-game resolution,didnt think it would help but i was desperate!
Playing on native resolution
change your graphics card there are some cheap ones that can play fallout 3 and even las vegas at the highest resolution and details, off course if your CPU is semi descent
or else try the 800x600 res thats your best bet

You mean the screen is surrounded by a Black border? If that is the case, then it might be that the height/width ratio selected isn't compatible with your monitor's resolution. What are the resolution options you got?the borders of the picture decreases
What graphics card are you using ? ATI Nvidia or on-board Intel ? To me, it looks like Intel.
Right click on your desktop and click "Graphics Properties",clic on the "Display Settings" tabs and then "Aspect Ratio" and click Full Screen.

avok,nah im using nvidiad geforce 9400 gt graphics card,badieh,i tried all resolutions,same thing but with diff. positions,i think it happens because the game is not compatible with windows 7,just a guess.
I highly doubt windows 7 is the issue here, have you tried to change your native resolution? Try to match the in game resolution with the desktop resolution!bassnoob467 wroteavok,nah im using nvidiad geforce 9400 gt graphics card,badieh,i tried all resolutions,same thing but with diff. positions,i think it happens because the game is not compatible with windows 7,just a guess.
@bassnoob467,
Inside Nvidia Control Panel , look for something that makes the game run on full screen. If you can't find anything, check your LCD screen's settings. either way there should be something adjustable. If nothing works out, then your screen just might be too big to display such resolutions. For example my 23" screen can't display 800x600 without borders and doesn't even support anything newer than that.
