  • What are the best games on linux

I'm not sure if this question has been asked here before or not.

So i dual booted, my laptop installing ubuntu, i don't use ubuntu for gaming and i'm not a gamer anyway. I just want to see if there are any games worth checking on linux. So far, I've been introduced to quake and 0 A.D. they look good. Is there any other good games worth checking?
No good games so far.
You could install wine and run pc games on Ubuntu.
yep i know but i have windows 7, i'm just looking to see if there are any linux based games, i dual booted so i have 2 os
there are some great games though I forgot their names. though check this list:

http://www.ubuntulinuxhelp.com/top-12-best-games-for-ubuntu-linux-1-tremulous/

what I can say for sure is that most games are FPS (kinda seems like an aggressive community but no hate on that one). anyhow there is also Supertux, nice game.

EDIT: forgot to mention unreal tournament runs natively on Linux so you might wanna give it a try. great for multiplayer
i liked unreal tournament and tremulous, i also liked oil rush, it's not free though, 20$, i think it's worth it

I had forgotten about this topic!
I updated my post to add HoN. It's by far the best (as in complete) game on linux I could find so far.
I've been looking for a multi-player racing game, doesn't matter what kind of race, just racing. Any suggestions ?
Steam launched games for Linux a few months ago. there's a bunch of nice indie games, ported valve games(including TEAM FORTRESS(free) and half life 2(10bucks)), and a bunch of classic games.
@venam what is the game you want to play? :)

@rahmu, i know hon, my brother plays it all the time, i'm not a big fan of this kind of games (hon, dota2..)

@mmk92 I'll check it out thanks
oh yes i got you, i downloaded zsnes :)
