My iphone 3gs 16gb scored 264.
My new ipad 16gb wifi scored 1044.
My emachines em350 10.1" netbook scored 1139 (running ubuntu precise pangolin).
Installation should be easy on most platforms,here's the guide on how to run on linux:
This was tested on ubuntu 12.04 like i said earlier;
1-download the archive from the website(linux version of course).
2-unarchive it, and place the geekbench folder on your desktop.
3-Open terminal and type:
cd Desktop/geekbench
4-now type:
chmod +x geekbench
5-to run it now type:
./geekbench
Every time you need to run, open terminal and repeat steps 3 and 5.
