i don't want to attack anyone and i don't know what's this topic is really about, but when kim says there are toys, i agree, and i can prove it, those robots are built using nxt 2.0, nxt 2.0 is a program designed to help kids what robotics is about, last year, the school of Notre Dame De Louaize gave a summer course to teach kids from 10 to 15 years old i believe to teach the students how to built such robot, my neighbor took that summer course, the students worked in a group of 2, one assembled the robot, the second did the programming, no coding is involved.
In 2 weeks, they built a robot that looks like
this nxt programming looks like
this as for the 2nd video, they just added a touch sensor, which is very easy
here
how old is that kid in the last video? Lego Mindstorms NXT 2.0 is designed to help kids get into robotics, but in Lebanon we don't teach our kids anything, a 16 years old american boy knows more about programming than a lebanese computer scientist because in you want to go for a major in cs in america, they start to teach you programming in high school, but again that does not mean that the lebanese guys who built those robots are stupid, don't hate the players, hate the game (our education system)
and just because kim said that those robots are toys, it does not mean he has to show you his work, i don't care what this guy does for a living, that does not change the fact that these robots are toys, come on, we should criticize and not challenge each other, if kim creates robots we need to see his work and criticize, if not it's okay, for example i think twitter is a useless site, will Jack Dorsey say: learn to create a twitter clone then criticize me?
and kim what do you mean by a battery free computer controlled plane? what power source will you use?
