  • Can't get new xbox 360 games to run!

Where did you get these games from ?

Media not supported doesn't mean it isn't a verbatim, it means that it read some files that it didn't recognize hence i believe it's just an issue of badly burned games.
I bought them from mr Tony.
They have pic print on the DVDs (like original)
I tried to install on HDD and it installed 7GB at 100% (though it was very slow),then it asked the DVD to be present in the tray to launch the game and it gave ''disk not supported'' again

lately his burns are very buggy and he just doesn't use verbatim
LT 3.0 is very sensitive.

Not using verbatim is a big no no, doesn't mean that it is a MUST, but some games can be very very selective towards it.
Will get a Verbatim version today from mr Tony,I hope it will work this time

Just to rule out the variables, make sure your other most recent games are still working.

Also if one copy was bad, usually the whole batch is so just keep that in mind.
He said it was not patched, his xbox360 games source is lacking concentration lol
Knew it. I understand the incentive for buying at Mr Tonys, much cheaper, but i still support Nino's and his backups, it's just easier in terms of "mishwaar el taree2" to buy from him instead.
Yay!
Finally got a copy to run :)
And it's not even a verbatim, it's plain white on top(chinese generic?)

Yes.

As long as it works. It was just a bad batch then. Enjoy :D
i had the same problem and also posted a similar thread, all you have to do is buy from Nino.

6000 and the guy at the counter is a huge arsehole, but he makes good copies.
Hello
I'm planning to buy an Xbox 360 Arcade. What can I do with it in addition to playing games? Surfing? playing DVDs? Does it read external HDD content like photos and videos? Does it support apps like Twitter, Facebook, Youtube etc?

Where can I mod it in Lebanon? Can all versions be modded? How much does it cost? And do all games work with a modded Xbox? What are the risks I take when I modify the console?

Sorry for the numerous questions.
Thank you for your help

1. That's pretty much all you can do (bear in mind you'll need to be a gold user to use features such as twitter and facebook)

2. Yes it reads content on external media (read only no write feature)

3. If you can still find an arcade model it will cost you around 200$ - if you mean the new 4GB "arcade" slim console its around 350$+

4. As of now, almost all versions can be modded or at the very least will eventually be

5. You can mod it at various places - i recommend Nino

6. Yes all games work with a modded 360

7. At Nino's it will cost you 50$ for the first mod and 25$ for subsequent mod updates

8. You may be banned and blocked from xbox live if you use a modded 360 online (no way to go back)and there is no fullproof guaranteed method to stay safe.
Thank you The-MMMs that's generous!
Basically I can pretty much read DVDs, mp3s, pics and play games offline forever even if I get banned?
Can we talk on Facebook? (Add me: Fernand Bteich)
Sorry don't use facebook.

Even if you get banned, you can use the console in every single way but none of the online features - at first i lost the ability to install games to the HDD but a subsequent offline update fixed that for me

I currently use it as a media streamer and the occasional game here and there
If I mod it can I install some custom firmware with additional options like let's say a custom ROM for an android phone?
Do I need to add an internal HDD in order to save games onto it?
Can I download ISOs from <snip> and play them without buying games from a shop?
Thanks a lot for your help
I think the error message I got before flagged my xbox 360, meaning if I dare plug into internet MS will ban my xbox360 + perhaps unroot it!
I saw this somewhere in the web

Be careful, no piracy allowed.

1. Yes you must add a HDD to save games on it.

2. As long as you have the appropriate burner for them then yes (these days burning a 360 game isn't as easy as it was some 3 years ago) - save your time and just buy them

You cannot flash your own software to an xbox .. you can glitch it or jtag it to run unsigned code but that needs some hardware peripherals and some soldering skills.

@vegetaleb - you must clear your NAND or something along those lines to de-flag an xbox; not sure of the exact logistics but it exits / it's possible
@The-MMMs The burning problem only concerns XDG3 games, doesn't it? I can normally use XDG2 isos with any dvd burner right?
Yes that is correct. I didn't mention it since i didn't want to confuse you :p XGD3 is however the new format MS using and you will need the appropriate ihas burner for those games.
