  • Ordering aftermarket car parts

Hi, are there any car enthusiasts here who like to mod their cars?
I am asking because i am thinking about starting to order my own parts instead of going to tuning shops wanting to order a 200$ item just to find out that it will cost me 400 once it gets here without taking into account whatever profit the tuner decides to add on the item. But then i think about it and decide to go for it since its a hassle free process, you just pay and receive after a week or so,without doing any paperwork or going places or whatever. If it turns out to be a fairly easy process and i am able to predict accurately what the item will cost me then i might consider ordering the stuff myself and save a few hundred dollars.

The stuff i would like to order are:
Bixenon headlights
Lowering springs and shocks
Brake disks pads callipers
Catback
Just a small example of what i'm looking to order

Does anyone face a similar problem when considering after market parts?
catback can be done here for 50 $ man ..

it can be custom made yes, not sure about 50$ though. This was an example, the other parts however cannot be made here. I'm trying to find the better route. To order through tuner shops, or to order myself.
catback is just removing the obstruction from the engine to the exhaust ( aka catalytic converter ) so air can flow out better .
ordering the parts yourself is tricky as not every car is the same ( even with the same model ) but it is better financially i suppose .
what is your car anyway ?
Car is a mk6 gti. Catback is the mid section to the tail tips part of the exhaust. I already have done plenty of mods to my car and looking to continue through ordering them myself instead of buying them from here. My cats are already removed as i have replaced my downpipe with a 3" catless one.
