Hello everybody,

I am really getting tired of my pc's performance with games,so i was thinking about getting a gaming laptop because they are much more cheaper than gaming desktops, plus i cant even afford upgrading my pc's specs so i need some help,do you advice me to do this?I just need to know what disadvantage i would have over getting a gaming pc.

One more thing, check out this gaming laptop, link:http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2394582,00.asp?tab=Specs

Tell me what you think of it,i think its really good and kinda cheap, plus i need to know where can i buy it from here in lebanon.

Thanks.
Honestly, just don't buy a gaming laptop unless you really need something mobile. They tend to heat up quickly, are often bulky, and are not up to the job.
Gaming laptops are cheaper than gaming desktops
The most misunderstood subject ever. And NO, A gaming laptop is never less expensive than a gaming desktop.

Well, let's see, when it comes to gaming, we are talking power, sheer power. A desktop can deliver for you MUCH more power for a lower price. You can build a seriously powerful PC for just 800$. I say JUST 800$ because for the same amount of money you cannot hope to achieve the same performance.

On the other hand, laptop's only advantage is mobility. A desktop will remain where you put it and you cannot take it with you.

So in short, if you want performance go desktop. If you want mobility go laptop.

Now what I would suggest is definitively a gaming desktop no doubts about it.

If you make up your mind take a look at the forum, there are many open topics that discuss desktop builds and if you don't manage to get an answer just tell us here. We will help you build one again.

And in case you need more detailed help or have more detailed questions just PM me and I will prove as much help as I can
Latpops are never cheaper than desktops. They aren't as fast as them either even if using the same specs the desktop will be faster and more durable, not to mention it will last longer and is far easier and cheaper to upgrade or repair.
Laptops are never good for gaming unless you're spending over 2000$ and getting an Asus G series.
Consider the specs I suggested on kiwithefruit's thread.

The resolution on that laptop is small, so you wont find any problems with the given graphics card. So you will have decent performance but even at such resolution do not expect maxing out newest games.
There are three things in that laptop that would concern me:
1- CPU speed 2GHz (Would go for something that has 3+ GHz)
2- 6GB ram (8 GB of RAM at least)
3- 540M VGA

Some of the game benchmarks for that VGA:

Anno 2070 (2011)
low: 77.8 84 ~ 81 fps
med.:31 34 ~ 33 fps
high:19.4 21 ~ 20 fps

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (2011)
low:38 44.3 ~ 41 fps
med.:25 31.9 ~ 28 fps
high:17 21 ~ 19 fps

Batman: Arkham City (2011) - Approximation!
ultra:5+ fps (Mobility Radeon HD 5650)
high:21+ fps (NVS 5400M)
med.:40+ fps (NVS 5400M)
low:45+ fps (NVS 5400M)

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings (2011)
low:24 fps
med.:15 fps

Crysis 2 (2011)
low:55.7 56 56.6 ~ 56 fps
med.:36 36.4 36.4 37.1 ~ 36 fps
high:26.5 26.6 26.6 27 ~ 27 fps
ultra:8.9 9 ~ 9 fps
