Hello all, i just got an htc one s, first thing i did is updating to the latest 1.78 software....
i'm having my signal dropped all the time, its no signal most of my time...
dropped calls, 3g disconnects, messages takes ages to send.....
i think its something thats has to do with 1.78, because it has new radio.
i only tested it for an hour before the update, i had full bars on 3g.......
anyone else has this problem ?
i contacted alfa, asking if its a frequency issue (one s doesnt have 1900mhz) or an MMI problem....... they never heard of these..... i'm 18 and i know better than them :@
i'm guessing its a software thing, others have this too (elsewhere), but for a few seconds, the signal in Zgharta is way too low so it takes 1 minute to restore signal....
Well, I can't really help you much because i have an HTC One X which you SHOULD have got. (Phone of the year for me). Now did the problem occur before updating too ? If yes, try to check if it's from the SIM card.

If not it's from the software .. Ask a specialist (take it to a shop or google at least before)
1.78 brings a new radio, its the only logical source of the problem....
some told me that i should unlock my bootloader, root, install rru 2.21, relock bootloader.....
i'm gonna get a new sim card on monday, but i dont think thats gonna solve anything, i recently downloaded a signal booster from the market, and that seems to fix this issue for 10-15 minutes......
by the way i got the one s because the one x is way too big for me.....
There is this code you type (Forgot what it was) Where you choose the signal to use manually.

hey everyone, this is not fixed, in areas where 3g is good i always have 4-5 bars, but in areas where 3g is bad, i always loose signal, having the phone in GSM only didn't fix the problem .
This must be a software issue, why does rooting an htc and installing a custom rom on it so hard ?! i used to take minutes on my old s2 ....
