Well, he can manage his machine with vnc, install utorrent, etc.
If he's not familiar with cmd and/or terminal.
By the way, what happened to the seedbox?
@Karim, i can teach you how to setup your very own seedbox, but you'll need full access to a remote machine somewhere in Europe. It as easy as uncompressing a an archive on your machine. (TorrentVolve)

Fellows, i highly recommend a windows VPS, for seeding windows server includes quality software, i have multi-monitor(3 monitors) setup and i know how VNC looks ugly on your Desktop, windows remote desktop is amazing. so no need to bother with creepy Linux desktop applications
NuclearVision
Come on, linux rocks man. I can control my linux machine perfectly from my iphone using vnc, it is good indeed.
kim
@NuclearVision
yeah Linux Rocks of course but for servers only, but don't you agree with me that using Linux on desktop machine is a bad idea? look i have 24 different computing environments 20 of them are Linux, i tried Linux on my desktop many times, multi-monitor setup with Linux is negatively awful
NuclearVision
What flavor of linux did you try?
kim
@NuclearVision
well, Debian...most of derivative distributions
as desktop environments of course

KarimCfc wroteAnyway guys, can anyone please give me the link on how to set up my own seedbox, and Ngel how much did you pay for everything?
You have to find a hosting company that allows torrents. You don't want your account to suspended.
Get a cheap VPS - 256M (for $4) Install Apache, MySQL and install torrentflux (low resources).
That's what I have :)
Ngel
Torrentflux is a HUGE resource user, check reviews and comments online
if you go linux, get ruTorrent
TheIlluminative
Sorry I was referring to torrentflux-b4rt - It's low on resources and very good :)
I have rutTorrent installed but I don't like it - It's good for creating torrents and managing RSS feeds.
NuclearVision
Guys try torrentvolve, it is way better than torrentflux, but it needs java components installed, it does not need an SQL database.
@theilluminative what company offers 4$-vps? Can you provide a website please?
Dima
Ngel wroteIf you are interested, kindly PM me and i will send you the general guidelines as well as your details
Ngel
I wrote to you in PM, but got nothing. :(

https://www.prometeus.net/billing/cart.php?a=confproduct&i=0 :)
You can try SonicVPS / AlienVPS / IPXcore / miniVPS always search for coupons.
I have a very good VPS from BuyVM but they're out of stock. I waited more than 4 hours to get it.
KarimCfc
Guys, I've been wondering, wouldn't it be better if we rented a a seedbox instead? Like from FeralHosting (pretty good prices) and don't budget VPS have low storage?
Ngel
@Dima so sorry, i just came back home from a short trip, please check your inbox now :)
reppinhighz
Hey Ngel hope you're doing good
for some reason i cant access the gui this morning
is there a problem?
thanks
Ngel
guys! seriously?
Who deleted all the completed torrents? Why would you do that?
come on
yasamoka
Ngel, if you are offering this service free to people, I believe you should try and set up an account system or something. What is being done is unfair for you or the other members who are using the seedbox while following the rules.
Thank you for your services to this community.
TheStunMan
Heres a
sampleof main differences between vnc and remote connection, i think RealVNC supports file transfer, correct me if wrong.
@Ngel, easy solution you have shared the admin user, i suggest to make a regular user which can only add torrents and download torrents, if you want to delete torrents either add moderating users or delete them by yourself.
KarimCfc
My ratio went from 0.008 to 0.76. Thank you Ngel! But this is seriously getting out of hand, everytime I add a torrent > 3GB, it gets deleted + every torrent I was seeding got deleted (with the data too)
Should probably look at getting my own seedbox, thanks for everything Ngel :)
