  • Shipping from china ? Aramex vs DHL vs Fedex ?

Hello everyone, i have some questions if you may. I'm a total noob when it comes to importing stuffs from abroad (my first time actually). So i'm looking to import a dress from a seller in china and was wondering what will be my best option for the shipping process.

I live in the north and i want the product to be delivered to the nearest branch which is in Tripoli for all of them ( Aramex, DHL, Fedex) and i'll pick it from there. So which one of these is the best in clearing customs and most affordable for delivering the products to Tripoli ? or should i go and clear the customs myself ?

Also the seller is offering free shipping through China Post Air but is it a safe method ?

Final question, any idea about the customs fees ? the dress is around 150$ and the shipping cost around 50$

Thank you :)
DHL is the best among those 3. However, if the seller is sending via China Post Air, it will be received by Liban Post. They will call you and tell you something has arrived for you, come pick it up. Customs fee is 10%.
Thank you Nabs for your answer i appreciate it :)
will liban post clear the customs and send the product to their branch near my location and i pay the receipt when i pick it or i have to clear the customs myself ?
I always buy magazines and T-shirts from the net and I get them from Libanpost. I didn't pay anything for them at all. They send all the stuff to my house.

I just pay the shipping fee ($10-$15) for the website. That's all.
Thanks Illuminative, i guess the website your ordering from is running their business in lebanon for that you never paid customs or am i wrong ?

No, UK.

I never paid for customs.

What I see is: Order that dress with free shipping and you'll get it from Libanpost without paying anything? but I am not sure about that.
I get stuff from China alot, and never pay customs, i think if the value of the item is worthy, they wil charge customs
let's hope so Illuminative :)

What shipping method do you use Rubz ?
Customs tax applies for anything of value above 119,900L.L. That's the law. If you exceed 80$ worth of items, you get taxed. Otherwise, none.
