Well i know that eu servers provide better latency for us middle easterns but i was just confused since us and eu servers don't come seperately.
They don't come separately as in you can roll on either side. However, latency do differ a lot. I remember I rolled a toon while playing SWTOR on an oceanic server, i had 400 ms, where as on EU servers I had 100 ms. So it does differ.

How big is the patch after you install the game?
I cannot say exactly how big the patch is, because apparently the % meter accounts for the number of files needed to download and not the complete size. I believe there were around 70,000 files to download, but some are bigger than others, which means for example that 4%-20% could take ages but then it could zip up to 90% fast.

So far I have been patching for hours (since I've posted here about it) and it's downloaded 830MB, 17%, a little over 51,000 files remaining.

EDIT: Today hopefully ill pass at the Virgin and get the game. So have you decided on Gandara server?
Hey guys! i created an account here just to be able to thank you for making me aware that virgin got gw2...they got it 1 day after i called and they said they need a week atleast :/ anyway i'm glad i ran into this forum :) if u are playing guild wars 2 i'd love to join the same server. However, i have to wait for the damn patch to finish downloading and my laptop shutdown overnight yesterday and interrupted my download :(
