  • Fair Price for an ASUS P8Z68-V Pro Motherboard with an Intel i7 2600K

Hi,

I'm seeking you help to determine a fair price for the above combo,

The Motherboard as well as the CPU are used but in perfect working condition,
the Chip overclocks fairly and can run 24/7 stable @ 4.8 with decent voltages. (it would require much more voltage to be stable at 5+ Ghz).
No degradation has been observed.

I'm asking you because I've never traded hardware here in Lebanon
and I'm selling those to a friend, so i need it to be a real fair deal for both of us.

thank you,

Thunderman
Well in lebanon its a bit different. You see since we get our parts at a fairly high price, and since selling pc stuff is still new to us. Add the fact us lebanese dont like loosing $ alot...
Id say 300-350 for both is good.
According to this website (which is one of the cheapest, but not the absolute cheapest), your combo sells for ~440euros (or ~540$).

Keep in mind that:

1- France is a bit pricey.
2- Your bundle is used, so expect a considerable price drop.

I second Beej saying that anything in the $300-$350 range for both is acceptable.
400$ is a very fair price. Most people don't buy used hardware here unless it's really cheap.
I'm selling my i3 540 with DH55HC board with 6GB of Kingston ram for 150$.
Also note that most people in Lebanon aren't interested in detail, meaning : They don't even care if it's a ROG motherboard with a 2700k , all they know is "i7=good" they don't know value of good hardware and they don't care about overcloking nor voltage mods or such similar things. their bran works like this "i7/Cheap". So most computer stores build i7's for 600~700$ with Intel H61 boards and 1x4GB Ram (Not even Kingston).

Your best bet is to find a geek here who is interested in it. Or you can have a talk with tarekelkhaldi (ROG store) too help you out.
how much did they both cost?
are they still under warranty?
2.5/4 of the actual price to a like new product seems good to me
Thank you all for your help,

As a conclusion to all of the above i would say that the average would be in the 375USD region

Thank you all for you insight,
@thunderman & AvoK: Mate, 400$ is a “Bargain Deal” for any buyer and the best of luck in selling them :).
Avo, man, do not generalize even if there is customers like this “Based on your Experience” although, it cannot applied on all “Customers” because there is many “Enthusiasts” in Lebanon. Conclusion, even if there is “Customers” like this you must know one thing it is “Upon the IT Store” to straighten things up, if and only if they were wrong or mistaken but this needs lots of work and effort and hopefully all this will end up soon.

Cheers.
