Dog for Adoption

Hey everyone. Strange thing happened a few days ago, a dog wandered into my garden.
He's big and friendly, and he doesn't seem to belong to anyone. I suspect he ran away from
his owners because he seems trained but dirty.

I really can't take care of this guy, even though I wish I could. I tried calling a few animal shelters
but no one answered. The municipality said that they just poison street dogs, which is inhuman and disgusting.

Does anyone know how I can get this dog into an animal shelter or is anyone looking to adopt a dog?

I appreciate any help. Here's a picture of the dog.

Few years back the municipality came into our building to spray/inject a dog and 2 cats with poison. Long story short, they ended up beaten senseless and a couple of friends and I ended up in the police station.

In my opinion 1 street dog is worth the life of a hundred of these disgusting human beings.

Yes, I also feel like that sometimes.

It does look inhumane. But on the other hand, in the US, for example, they will put the dog in a shelter, and if it does not find a human within a period of time (maybe a month?) they will "put it to sleep" (kill it painlessly). Several thousands dogs die like that every year.

PS: I'm glad you stopped them. In no case should they enter a building and chase these animals.

In case you don't find anyone, try calling BETA. They provide shelter for the animals and try to find families that would take the dog. Look them up on Facebook.

Try contacting Animals Lebanon, they help out in adopting animals (dogs too) and take care of them until they get adopted.
