@rorosas: Mate, you are paying “102$” for a dead “Chipset like the P61” which is at least “4 Generations Old” this is wrong, very wrong. Frankly, there is no benefit at all from the “IV-B 3550” since this “Mobo” it is not “Certified as Gen: 3”. I can get you an “ASUS H77” a better option all around thus; most importantly, the “PCI-E 3.0” enabled.

Note for All: do not “cheapen on the Motherboard” it is the “Heart” and main source that “Feeds” your Rig and providing a smooth operation a crossing all your “Hardware Components”.

Regards.
Are you going to do any overclocking ? I need to know so that I can have an idea on what hardware to choose.

then recommend him a good pc for less than 720$
@ballad: Did I tell you that i cannot? Btw, These prices are “VAT Excluded” so if you add “10% VAT” you will hit the 850$ barrier.

@rorosas: Mate, I will be waiting your call to discuss your build for the last time.

Cheers.
Well rorosas you got it all right except the motherboard. Tarek is right on some points.

May i suggest a b75 chipset based motherboard? I am sure tarek can strick you a deal, since this board is based on the z77, but since its media, its a bit cutdown version. But these boards have no sli option, that is if 2x pci-e lanes exist, only xfire 8x/4x bad for highend crossfire, and not so bad on low end xfire-d cards.
Also you will not be able to oc with this board.

Thank you beej
Indeed, Beej, I agree the “B75” all-around is a better-suited “Mobo” concerning the rest of your components. I can get you the “ASUS P8B75-M LE” for a bargain price just gives me a call.

Thank You “Tarek & Beej” :).

Regards.
Why would he buy a B75 chipset if the Z77 chipset is just a few dollars more ? Furthermore, the B75 is used for general everyday computing and it is not designed for gaming.
I would suggest he get's the AsRock Z77 Pro3 from ROG , 8GB of regular Kingston ram (He doesn't need anything more), 1TB HDD and an i5 3570 from PC and Parts with a Thermaltake V4 case and a 650W PSU.
@NuclearVision: Sorry mate did not want to disappoint you thus, he wants a “Gen: 3 based Rig” in other words “PCI-E 3.0” enabled that means neither “H61 or P61” and according to his budget the “B75” is the one that suits him.

Regards.
@Avo: Avo, mate; I agree with you and I told him buy a “Mobo” that gives you some fun, I offered him the “B75” for two reasons it suits his budget and PCI-E 3.0 enabled. Anyway, the 3570 also from me since it is not available at any other place ;) whereas; the 3550 is the only available option now based on “i5 - IV-B”.

@NuclearVision: I know man :) you were definitely helpful but sadly he needs a “PCI-E 3.0” ready “Motherboard”.

Regards.
@tarekelkhaledi : Dude B75 is like H55/61/67.
The B75 chipset doesn't support any ram more then 1333MHz , not even the multiplier can change it. It's stuck at 1333 MHz meaning absolutely no optimizations , nor overclocking whatsoever. You can't even install a 1600MHz ram on that chipset since it won't run. I don't think that Intel Turbo Boost technology even works on this chipset. It is strictly made for home and office use and not for gaming. The IGP inside the CPU will have shared memory with the ram, making the user have less ram available , even if he has a dedicated video card. My personal rig has a H55 chipset and I can only use 3.45GB of my ram , making 550MB of ram go to waste , that's half a gigabyte ! and all this for saving about 50$.

Concerning the CPU , will you be giving him the 3570k ? because that would be a total waste since the 3550 is only 240$ making the 3570 about 260$, it's not worth paying 360$ for a K series if he's not going to do any serious overclocking. The performance difference between a 3570 and a 3550 is only 0.1GHz and won't be that much effective in games.

Also a PCI-E 3.0 motherboard or CPU isn't a must since graphic cards nowadays won't use that much bandwidth. If he uses a PCI-E 3.0 graphics card on a PCI-E 2.0 motherboard there will be almost no difference between the two. The only advantage of having PCI-E 3.0 is being more future proof and not having any bottlenecking when it comes to things like Crossfire or SLI since 1x PCI-E 3.0 8x = 2x PCI-E 16x. But even with PCI-E 2.0 8x you won't loose that much noticeable performance.
Since when did the motherboard define "gaming"?
You guys are all falling to the "market" gaming motherboard. A motherboard is a motherboard period.
I offered the b75, also i said in previous post that there is zero oc, because he wanted a cheap, new, good motherboard. Also he is geting a locked cpu, so buy a z77 is a waste (unless the price difference is very small which i dont have a clue about pricing.

Also the term "gaming" nowadays is accompanied by "overclocking", which btw is totally different. Their should be a new term, tweaking or something.

@ tarek: How about republic of tweaking? Though when you put it against ROG... ROT!?
@Avo and Beej: Mate, Hold up; I did not offer him a “3570K” in fact I said a 3570 which it does not exist in Lebanon, only 3550 does. Concerning the “B75 Motherboard”, we suggested this option since neither “Unlocked Chip” nor “High End Memory” in fact nothing more than “Stock” yet all he needs is “PCI-E 3.0” ready mobo.

Mate, since when a “Motherboard is a Motherboard?” sorry mate, but you are disregarding the fact that companies throws lots of “R&D, Man Hours, Tons of Features and many more Innovative stuffs” that suits the “Consumers” needs. “Motherboards” are not all built for the same purposes, in fact the “End User” who chooses which one suits his needy purposes. Here people are divided there is the “Enthusiasts Among Them” and sure the “Entry Level Ones” thus, not forgetting the once in “Between”. Conclusion, the “End User” calls the day, what I am pointing my finger at is even if anyone is willing to buy a “Low End” mobo make sure you choose a “Quality Product” that serve you 3 to 5-years.

Note: “Gaming” always been accompanied with “Tweaking and OCing” but with these huge leaps forwards in the “Hardware Area” It went from an option to a widespread use and this is encouraging for the “Hardware Makers”.

Lol Republic of tweaking: D loved that, not ROG. ROT it is “ROG RODs” like Hot Rods ;).
