Hullo again guys, thanks for your welcoming messages,
again I want to remind you that I'm not in the domain so please bear with me as i try to explain my dilemma..
I'm trying to install the mediawiki package on my employer's network in order to have a tool for live collaboration with an easy to use interface. Many of my colleagues already have a clue about wikimarkup so we opted for this option for what we thought was ease of use.
then came the problem of installation,
we followed this video step by step:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCOUfuMWAfc
installed XAMPP 1.7.7, including: Apache 2.2.21 -MySQL 5.5.16 -PHP 5.3.8 -phpMyAdmin 3.4.5 -FileZilla FTP Server 0.9.39 -Tomcat 7.0.21 (with mod_proxy_ajp as connector)
then we extracted the MediaWiki files (Mediawiki version 1.19.1) to the proper directory
we ended up with a properly running wiki on the host pc and here's a screenshot screenshot

BUT when we tried to access it from client pcs on the network, we had this broken down page with functioning links but all the graphical elements were not there...

I hope someone has dabbled with these two bundles and can provide me with a clue on what went wrong :S
A big big thanks to all of you :)
