Draguen wrote@The-MMMs buying a quad core is not something "fashion", buying a quad core is buying a cellphone for the future, in one year, dual core will probably be outdated while quad core will still be performing very well on new software / games, so puting 100$ on a new cellphone to get a quad core over a dual core is a "must", if you don't do it then your cellphone will be useless in a near future and if you want to get the most your cellphone, you'll have to change it
although i respect that viewpoint i don't agree with it
I have an xperia x10, single core i believe not sure, anyway its a 1GHz phone and its running gingerbread fine; no hiccups whatsoever
My only complaint is the battery life, and the screen really sucks, but at the time they were fine enough.
I don't need a quad core, i don't play games, nor run some over the top theme with animations, eye candy DOESN'T appeal to me.
The Desire HD, old phone, got the official word from HTC that its getting the ICS update, you don't need quad and dual cores really, i think its just a marketing technique to draw in buyers and customers.
Don't get me wrong, im not saying its useless, it has much use, but only to a certain set of people. Buying the latest and greatest isn't always the best thing to do if you ask me.
