Everybody, please try to keep your contributions strictly scientific, religion has nothing to do with it - and if it does, we're not interested in what religion has to say about it so keep it to yourself.

With that out of the way, I think that it's perfectly normal for a teenager to think about sex and be interested in porn. Those who aren't are mostly problematic - they will definitely have problems communicating with the opposite gender, they will most likely be shy and have psychological problems.

But, I have to say that a teenager who is totally obsessed with porn and thinks about nothing but porn and how to get laid is also problematic. It's not a psychological problem or any of this sort, but it will most likely reduce the kid's productivity at school and outside it. And those who suggested diverting the kid's attention with something else were totally right. Nothing will divert the kid's attention from sex completely, but at least the kid should also be interested in developing his/her skills during that critical phase of one's life.

I don't feel like going through 4 pages of blah blah trying to "clean up" a topic that had very little value from the start.

EDIT: I did not mean for the harsh tone, I got interrupted while writing this. The fact remains that every time a topic will slip out of bounds, it will be closed. People are getting offended, and the posts were decreasing in quality.

We will keep a subject running as long as it doesn't go overboard. But when it does, expect it to be closed on spot. We don't have time to edit/delete certain posts of the topic to censor what's right or wrong. I hope you understand.

This is not the first time you start a flamewar through religion. Yes, it is in the LebGeeks culture to respect all religions by completing staying away from them. Please respect that. You need to understand that we only deal with science-based evidence. If you link to a couple of websites that claim what you believe in, it does not prove that it is true. You need to look at peer-reviewed publications, experiments with solid control groups, double-blind experiments, and experiments that have both internal and external validity. The scientific process is rigorous but can easily be messed up.

Your negligence for the rules are having a deteriorating effect on the community. On the one hand, we are getting pressured into closing off non-technology related topics because they are being turned into flamewars through religious/non-scientific trolling. On the other hand, our members are complaining that we are limiting our natural growth as a community by focusing too much on tech.

We will be harsh in our reaction in future topics.
Please keep your religious beliefs to yourself.
We believe we are acting in the full interest of the community.

Dude are you serious? Censoring the internet would be like locking them out in rooms so "they don't know or hear about porn", but if you keep their access normal, and divert their attention toward something more fun such as sports, art, watching anime, reading manga, music... etc.... they wont feel the need to watch porn out of boredom. I'm pretty sure those activities won't be considered as "lock them in rooms so they don't know or hear about porn."

The problem in here is that people are going into extremities

Guy,chill because its just a joke.

I was a serious masturbator (word doesnt exist i know) and there was absolutely nothing wrong with me mentally,socializing is a sport to me,and i was never affected by porn,i do not just look at a girl and say "oh i want that cake" honestly instead of hoping i go and work hard for the cake.

Oh and,you can pick what type of porn you watch,my uncle (who lives in the states) used to pay via credit card for my porn from quality porn sites (yes,porn is like anything in this world,it differs in quality) my uncle is a couple years older than me,hes working and learning there and we used to share accounts and passwords for the porn sites we both enjoy.

And for the guys who do not masturbate,you are missing out on some awesome stuff. :P

Finally and very briefly,Religion is just a thought implemented devastatingly into your mind,religion is made out to exist by you,it really DOES NOT EXIST!

People telling me what I should or should not do with my hand when I'm in private, and what I should or should not watch on my computer, and the society as a whole finding this poking into my private matters normal and even condoning it, is not a mundane issue to me.

I don't know about you, I have a feeling you understand me, but I've been here with other people before, and some people just don't understand it, it just doesn't get through that I am not "fighting for porn" but trying to defend that little thing called privacy for the good of everyone involved.

You are completely right, privacy is a must. No one should be able to tell you what to do or what can you do and I strongly oppose any kind of censoring, be it on the press, internet or others.
