waleed k peeps, my BA NAS 110 crashed, it's connected via network, i had all my data backed up on it so i could format my PC and it stopped working, making this kk-khk kk0khk sound, with the orange LED blinking (indicating system error) i got the HDD out of the shell and connected it directly via SATA, no sign of data though, who can recover my 4 years of work, music and movies?
AvoK95 WOW, seems really bad. You may need a new board. But I'm still not sure if it will make it run again. But at least you can see it.
yasamoka waleed, it seems that those are motor problems, although what AvoK95 said could be true too. You need to tell us the hard drive model numbers. For mechanical defects: Do you have any relatives going to Europe or USA soon? If so, package your hard drive well and sent it to a data recovery service. Those open the hard drive in a dust-free room and make a bit-by-bit copy of the data on the platters. This is your best bet for hard drive recovery if it's a mechanical defect. One hard disk's data was even recovered after it was damaged by hurricane Katrina.
waleed i contacted these http://www.datarecovery.ae/ waiting for a quote. anywhere specific in the US or EU?

MrClass Was the hard drive part of a RAID setup? If RAID 0 or RAID 5, then you will have to send all hard drives cause 1 HDD contains part of the data.
rolf Look who's here! waleed wrotewho can recover my 4 years of work, music and movies? I can give it a try.
