I have problem in configuring linksys X3000, Ogero guy was unable to configure it and I'm not sure if it's from username/password or from the config

the current config is:

PPPOE
vpi=0
vci=35
encrp: LLC
multiplexing
QoS: UBR

as for user/pw i had to decrypt the pw from old config using base64
although I'm not sure if they have changed user/pw as connection got upgraded from 128 to 1Mb
and user was Lxxx@ogeronet-128.com

any idea?

Thanks
astroveny, i got the X3000 about ten days ago, it worked perfectly, however i am an IDM subscriber.
IDM config probably differs from Ogero:

PPPoE
VPI: 8
VCI: 35
Multiplexing: LLC
Qos Type: UBR
PCR/SCR: 4000

But you don't have to manually configure your Linksys, if you got a PC or laptop with WiFi enabled, just insert the config disc that comes with the package, follow the instructions and it will automatically configure everything for you. You only have to put your username and password provided by your ISP when it asks you to, then it will ask you to name your SSID and make a password for it, it will automatically put your security on WPA2.

Remember that your SSID name and password will become your username and password for your modem's gateway, admin/admin won't work anymore. Make sure that your username and password from your ISP are correct and let it configure automatically. I did it myself, it was very easy, you don't need someone from Ogero to configure it for you.
Thank you guys but my issue is that ogero guy didn't know how to configure it
Although I'm not sure about username even though they said its working fine

I have tried the config with user/pw and it didn't work!even with the cd setup

I'll try my at my cousin's place, also I'll try dsl setup on pc using user/pw

PS: I got pw from old config file from my old router us robotics using decrypt 64 bit
Did you try the automatic setup on a WiFi enabled PC?

In case you did and it is still not working, then there is a strong chance that your username and pass are not correct, jut contact Ogero and ask them about your username and pass.

Edit: sorry for going off topic, @yasamoka: your inbox is full, i can't PM you.
well i did try that, but when i called Ogero asking for MY user/pw they said "sorry we are not allowed to give you these info!!! for security reasons" I mean WTF!!!!
any way i will try again to call these puppets
What security reasons they're talking about? it's your username/pass and you have the right to obtain them! every subscriber to whatever ISP have the right to know his username and password.

So what if you switch to a bridge connection, then you wanted to go back to PPPoE? you have to enter them again! If i was you, i will call them again, if they refuse again which doesn't make any sense at all, i will cancel my subscription and move to another ISP.
exactly that's what I'm gonna do, i will ask my bro to do as i live abroad :)
and i will check what IDM provides

Thank you for you help
cheers
