thechosenjester hey guys i bough the new pc for 490$! 8 gigs of ram 500 HDD gt520 intel core i3 3.0ghz everything is smooth and im happy with it but whenever i play a game and record it starts to beep :/ and its annoying .. i this because of overheating ? i bought the pc recently. i just got it any help would be appreciated ! thanks !
Khaled When does it start beeping ? on startup? If not on startup, then does the system give you any error messages and start beeping or it continues to function normally while beeping ?
eurybaric Did you build it yourself or was it prebuilt? in any case - especially the latter - consult your vendor/store! you just bought it and beeping AFAIK is a hardware issue. Do not attempt anything that would void your warranty if it has any. Good Luck!
Rubz If you want to make sure it is overheating, run a stress test like prime95 and at the same time monitor you CPU temperatures under stress and at idle using a monitoring software like HWmonitor or Coretemp. If it turns out to be over heating, it may be that the cpu fan assembly is not seated well. Also if you may open the case with out voiding the warranty, check that all the fans are spinning. Good Luck
AvoK95 There are many types of beep codes, you have to tell us how it beeps. Also, make sure your hard drive is set in AHCI mode in the BIOS for optimal performance in data transfer. Be sure to install the latest drivers and software from the manufactures site, especially your graphics card. Never install it from the CD that came with it , download the latest.
shant how many times does it beep and are they short beeps or long beeps? here is a list of beeps that might help you
Nabs @thechosenjester, kindly record the beeping sound with something and upload the recording for us to hear.
