fake/marketing at its finest.
Yea right gtx 680/7970? i7 3930K? From dual core 2.4 all the way to SB-E? 8600 all the way to gtx 680? And 35g hdd space?
The funny thing is that a low end Dual core is the minimum spec but the RECOMMENDED spec is a 3930K. L-O-L

These are universal specs to run any game. Almost all games use these requirements (The minimum reqs I mean)
By the looks of it, I would've summarized it with: "Any PC"
Im more focused on the 35GB part.
As for the VGA & CPU requirements I think its more on the marketing side. or a deal between rockstar & nvidia/amd/intel.
Im not sure if there is ANY PC more powerful than this to consider these are " Recommended ", i mean the 3960k is same as the 3930k gaming wise, and better than 680/7970? .. what ? crossfire/SLI ?

These specs are the top of the top in which you can get.. recommended specs are those that constitute the MINIMUM needed to play the game smoothly on relatively high settings.

And for god's sake ... 16 GB ram ?

I seriously doubt all this to be true to be honest
they're asking for a rig that can probably run crysis 4
As Beej said "Marketing at it's Finest, but on the other side the "Recommended" part is for those who literally want to Destroy the Game by Maxing Out everything yet not suffering from FPS Drop on High Res. although with the Hardware Performance Increase that we're seeing soon the "Minimum Requirements" are going to change Rapidly & those Current specs will be an aging history specs.

It's always been Like this and the legacy will continues years to come, PC Hardware Makers Throw some Hot Powerful Hardware & Games Developers Creates Some Powerful V8 Engines Ohhh Sorry :D, some Powerful Engines to Drive them to the Edge.
I bet the story mode will be short an average gamer will finish it in one day :P

I have played Max Payne 1 and 2 and I have to say that the levels are LONG. it has chapters and each chapter is like 1 game. It's very thrilling, fun and it has good graphics.

You are right Avok

MP 1 and 2 were great, i seriously recommend anyone playing them

Although consider what we have seen over the last decade

Games getting shorter and filled with DLC-Trash

I miss the 2003-2006 era :(

That being said, i really hope that MP3 wont be some over hyped piece of garbage
