  • Where can i find a fightstick for the PS3 ?

I've been looking for this item for a while, couldn't find it anywhere, Virgin, Sony World, Nino...

It works as a controller instead of the normal one, made specifically for fighting games, it can also be called an arcade stick, or a fightstick like this one for ex:

I am looking for the MadCatz brand, which are the best fightsticks out there, it can be hooked to the PS3 via USB cord and got excellent performance (there are ones for the xbox 360 as well). Anyone know where can i find it or at least someone who can provide one? Thanks.
hey H.S.
this is the first time i hear about this stick.
searched ebay for some and turned that an average madcatz stick like the one in the picture costs 120$ and somehow more ( is that your budget?)
if you didnt find any here in lebanon and willing to pay for it, you can ask Nabs ,a fellow geek member here, to get it for you from outside lebanon.
Hey,

Yeah those aren't well known here since the fighting community is too small :( . Yeah i know about it's price, but it is worthy and high quality. Just wondering who is Nabs? and can he provide one? any help would be appreciated :)
Yeah well...i am trying to avoid ordering it online for now and hopefully i can find it locally first.

First don't waste your time looking for those type of sticks in the Lebanese market they are not available and well never be.
Second if you never played on an arcade stick before then this might not be for you or to your liking.
Your only option is to import it but be ready to pay a very high price for shipping and handling, probably more than 150$.
I have two arcade sticks of the same quality for the PS2 that i imported before the new fighting games started showing up on the PS3 they used to work on the PS3 through convertors before Sony started blocking third party accessories.
I plan on modding my arcade sticks to work on the PS3 and Xbox 360 within the next month or two.
Currently they work on the PC so i can play SF on the PC that is if i have the time which is not the case anymore.
Hey, H.S, I'm Nabs, I tend to make custom orders every now and then. Believe it or not, I had that stick before, but it was the limited anime release. I love beat 'em ups, and yes, those sticks make pulling off certain moves a breeze, and they're fund and different to handle. I'll check with my fellow group members, see if there's any left untouched. PM me for confirmation please.
@Commander, yeah tell me about it, i went to a shop close to Nino, he gets games and accessories from the UAE by himself from time to time, he didn't know what i was talking about. I know that it will feel awkward first time i use it, practicing a couple of months will do the trick and i'll get used to it, and trust me when you do, it is way better than the normal controller. In SF you need to plink sometimes right? isn't it very annoying on the normal controller? I am currently practicing BlazBlue, if i managed to get an AS, i'll get back to SF as well.

@Nabs, Hey, so you sold that stick you used to have? ok i'll PM you with the details of the stick that i want and hopefully you can still find some around.

I am sure Arcade Sticks are the proper way to play fighting games, personally i always played fighting games on arcade sticks well at least that's what i grew up with in the days where the arcades existed, console ports at that time where unplayable until the Dreamcast and PS2 showed up. I tried to play on a PAD but i felt handicapped. Only with certain characters a PAD can be on par or even better that is with charging characters like Guile.
Yes plinking is easier on an arcade stick but it is not easy to perform even with practice.

Nabs
So did you make a group order of arcade sticks previously ?
