I'm also having high latency, the 200-300ms seems to be the normal one for us in lebanon but i'm fine with it, but most of the time it's 500ms+ and bounces to 2k at times, it's really unplayable like that ><

Here's a small text I sent a friend who was disappointed in Diablo 3 after he finished normal mode. For those of you that haven't finished normal mode yet, read and see what's coming in nightmare/hell:
Give nightmare a try and you'll see where I'm coming from, towards the end of Act II Nightmare, you start questioning your spec. You start feeling the pain from just running into mobs and not caring what you face because in normal you simply used to spam your most damaging ability and destroy packs of mobs. Towards the end of nightmare, i kept wiping on packs and i had to put on some defensive abilities as well as going for Elective Mode and mixing talents from same type.
Avo and I zoned into hell, we literally, after mega wipes on trash mobs, say 'plan ?'. There was this one skelly elite pack of 3, that wiped us about 10 times. They have 3 abilities (aside from hitting like monsters). They are chained together, the chain deals about 5k per sec. They drop moving beams on the ground, and what's worse if you try to kite them, they pull you back in. It took us about 15 minutes until we finally decided that I take aggro from 2 and sprint away using my defensive abilities while he kills one.
Not to mention, the Skeleton King. Avo ended up using full defensive spec and I went AOE spec + defensive abilities for the mobs he spawns. If the skeleton king is a "mini boss', I don't know what the actual act bosses will be.
Sounds fun. I hope they don't patch it down to oblivion like they did with wow.xterm wroteHere's a small text I sent a friend who was disappointed in Diablo 3 after he finished normal mode. For those of you that haven't finished normal mode yet, read and see what's coming in nightmare/hell:

I find it moronic to expect to play a game for 10 hrs to get to the good parts of it. That's just truly bad game design....I've given up expecting Diablo 3 to do the right thing...or the decent thing..or even the comprehensible thing.
This is not the successor of the Diablo franchise. How can it be when it fails at alot of things that made the previous games what they were. This is just a cash in, a DRM riddled, shallowly written and structured casual game.
Canceling my Diablo 3 order.

Very thorough and interesting, Brashen.
I just don't see whats the point of your message?

Yes well, I shall look askance at your quoting of a Wiki page rather than actually doing any nominal research through the more reputable PC gaming sites such as RPS and PCgamer to name but a few. Most agree that hidden beneath the pomp and illusions of grandeur lies a shell of a game what could have been and one riddled with asinine garbage such as the pay to win model and the always online DRM.
But obviously Wiki and you know best. What the hell would game journalists who do this stuff for a living possibly know about what constitutes a good game.

-pc gamerFinal Thoughts
That was ridiculously good. The opening chapters of the game give you no clue about the sheer wealth of incredible things you’re going to see, hideous things you’re going to find, and dazzling things you’re going to do. It’s one long love-letter to power, a set of the most ridiculous abilities Blizzard could think of, and the biggest possible army of monsters to obliterate with them.
Loot is ruined. Permanent choices are gone. Stats are effectively reduced to damage and health. But what you get instead is something Diablo has never given you before: an experimental playground for mixing and testing a vast wealth of powers. It’s a magical murder lab, perfect for the tweaker, the hacker, and the optimiser in you. And on an immediate level, it just feels endlessly satisfying to play.
I’m starting again now, on Nightmare mode, from the beginning that I’ve played through 13 times. And I can’t stop. I’m in love with the character I built, and dizzy at the thought of trying out the other four.
That’s what I’m doing next, along with a bit more Nightmare Mode, and experimenting with the seedy world of the auction house. When I’m done, I’ll write up my final verdict in a more considered review.
One part of this write up will carry over, though: having to be online to play a single player game is utter bullshit.

A game journalist wouldn't response with such subjectivity and bash someone around for a simple matter of opinion. If you are one actually, you're not acting professional at all and you haven't provided why the game doesn't deserve all it's credit, you just pointed it's a bad game without any signs to what, your posts are very vague.Brashen wroteYes well, I shall look askance at your quoting of a Wiki page rather than actually doing any nominal research through the more reputable PC gaming sites such as RPS and PCgamer to name but a few. you haven't played the game seriously and nagging already!!!Brashen wroteCanceling my Diablo 3 order.
Anyway this is your point of view i respect it.
I have played diablo 2 and diablo 3, they share alot, same magnificent lore and the story line is perfectly integrated as a trilogy with improvements to leveling system, graphics ... all are great.
the fact that you have to play for at least 10 hours to reach the higher difficulties could be a point for the walk-through gamer, as for me its 21 hours game play now and i just started act 4 at normal difficulty. (preparing for the next round ;) and enjoying the solo to do all what i want to do and see) and then switch to coop mode to get the maximum of the game.
After that i still have 4 classes to explore, with randomly generated maps and different side quests i could play this game for a veeeeery long time without getting bored.
I don't understand why all the hate for diablo3 ? its a very decent game and it more than lives up to diablo1&2,+the online mechanics and the store are all good ,you don't have to buy anything from the cash store if you don't wont to ,the gameplay is amazing and the game itself is very well balanced and very engaging ,lets not forget that it is a fresh release so expect many major updates and patches and dlc for this epic game making it even more epic ,anyone who hates this has not actually bought and played it.
single player mode online ... this is sad.
its an online game just like starcraft 2 , blizzard makes some of the best games for PC they spent 3 years on this game they know what they are doing .if you want to play something similar offline get torchlight it costs like 5$ on steam .pvp arena is gona be sick when i level up mah BARBARIAN :D
Welcome to the new era. This is how game industry runs these days, this isn't a fully single player game, nor is it a mmo, blizzard went fully crazy with these new gaming concepts and all i can say is that they succeeded.Tarek wrotesingle player mode online ... this is sad.
this is not sad, its time to rejoice, no noobs hacking their characters!
no matter how bad diablo 3 will turn out, it will still be better than any other game like it
