Dope14, no he didn't. This is just a media thing idiots particularly eminem said to make money off his name. Tupac wasn't the kind of person who would fake his own death. He was very narcissistic. He was also a workaholic. He made a lot of money but for tupac, money leads to fame. It's not the monetary value of money but the fame that it leads to. There is no way tupac would hide instead of continuing to make records. He was a publicity genius. He used to sit in the streets with his friends and make sure the media catches it.
They just needed to kill him. the competition was difficult and he needed to be 'put to sleep',
